    I think I need a new engine

Sounds like you removed the plug wires, then found tdc, then put #1 plug wire where the rotor was pointing? You may be 180 out on the distributor. At tdc on the compression stroke the timing marks should line up and the rotor "should" be pointing toward the #1 cylinder. Front right of engine...

    75 C30 leaf spring hanger replacement/relocation queries.

Rear spring hangers are different on one ton. The spring perch width of a one ton is narrower than a 1/2 or 3/4 ton. You'll need to find new hangers from a c/k 30.

No start, no spark, 77 Chevy 350

I vote for the pickup coil. I had a similar situation many years ago. Kept swapping ignition modules, even put the same ones back in and it would run for a few days then die. Finally decided to change the only thing I hadn't changed yet, the p/u coil, and never had a problem again.

Probably sent a couple thru the rear bearings. Looks like an old superwinch part time kit. That's what I had in mine untill I went doubler...

    Brake hose connections

Early banjo bolt (at caliper) is 7/16. Later is 10mm. As was said. Buy for the year you have, as long as calipers are stock.

    Quadrajet too rich!

One thing that a few of my old cronies and myself years ago, did was not properly set the lean drop at idle. It can be hard on emissions carbs because of the sealed idle screws but it's a good place to start. If lean drop isnt set correctly you end up relying on the idle screw to keep it running...

    How do I lift my 2WD ‘87 R10?

Here's a post on another board about using later year spindles on the 73-87 trucks. http://67-72chevytrucks.com/vboard/showthread.php?p=4736045#post4736045
