    My 86 k10 has dual tanks...can somebody explain how the pollak valve works? Will the engine runs both tanks dry? I was assuming the Dash switch was only there to let you know how much fuel was in each tank.

    Yea wish I could do that setup but money and energy are an issue. Right now my Truck has a 4" lift just blocks I do believe....is the crossover steering really that much better? I don't know much about it.

    Well it's not so much as that ... I have Cystic Fibrosis and my lung capacity is down to 40% so I'm trying to find easiest way for me...I figured that just doing suspension would be easiest.

    So if I did 6" softride spring on front and a 1" easy inch... I'm at 7 inches right in the front? you mentioned body lift I don't want to do that? max body lift?

    I just really like the 8 inch lift, I knew a guy that bought an 87 Brand and he had an 8" lift installed right after he bought the truck...it's alaways been with me so I finally bought one and now I'm gonna build one.

    You will need to school me on 51" springs is that a stock spring size? My square body is new to me ive never owned one in the past so all this is new to me... BTW I am 40 years of Age.

    The Truck will only used on asphalt its not gonna be an offroad Truck, Im deffintly gonna raise it 8 inches but wasnt sure if I should do the 8" Springs, or if perhaps theres an alternative such as 6 inch springs with 2" block or reverse shackles ect. just to provide a little better ride...

    Ive been reading old Posts but id still Like Anybody to chime in !! I'm gonna put an 8 inch Lift on my k10....I see so many different ways. Theres Blocks / extra long Hangers / ... I want the truck to still have a Fairly Decent Ride so I'm Wondering if doing a 6 inch Springs and then block...

    That's crazy I guess I never really thought of that, I cant really see a boxed frame of welded construction flexing at all.

    Anybody know when they switched to Welded Truck Frames construction, Versus our older trucks held together by rivets? Just Curious if anybody knows.

    Yup I go all way up ... then I back switch down to relieve the pressure.....Aftermarket parts are such junk!

    The aftermarket motors put to much pressure on the door when its all the way up... my door bows out quite a bit from to much pressure put on the glass.....my original motors didn't do that.

    Yea updating the gauges would be cool a lot of people are doing that these days....seems everything I buy " ac delco" is made in china my electric door motor wich gave me hell.... and my ac delco master cylinder was made in China.... I'm just gonna specify on box where its made and buy one...

    Ok I'm confused....did they use 2 types of Fuel sector valves? I see people talking about the 1 wire...my truck has a harness type plug in. I need to replace mine My trucks an 86 will the aftermarket ones work?
