Wow this is getting crazy lol
All this information is great....I do think I looked in my old tank....I don't recall a baffle but I really need to check again, All info is great
Thank you for concern I think I'll be fine.
Hatzie ....if I was to pull sending unit out of tank I can manually trick the fuel gauge by running the float up or down right ? And see if gauge inside truck moves?
Lucky for cell phones I can still chat, I did put 5 gallons into drivers side tank, so id figure it would at least read quarter of a tank...but it was definitely below empty line on gauge.
Welp I'm headed to hospital I do really appreciate information, hopefully I can return to my truck in 2 weeks....ill keep you post if I have any other troubles thank you.
Ok so I went ahead and tried it real quick.....my gas gauge DID go to 3' oclock when I disconnected the sending unit ....that was interesting so what could that mean?
I actually haven't tried that....yet I might have to go in hospital today or tomorrow so now I'm not sure when ill get back to it...the joys of having Cystic Fibrosis, ill let you know when I try that out.
My gauge just sits on Empty, two brand new Tanks , And 2 new sending units, everything is clean and connected. I'm fairly new to these trucks....is a common issue the gauge cluster/ and or fuel gauge itself?
I replaced both my Sending units "spectra" and still don't have a fuel gauge....tank grounds are very clean and tight. . I have bed off my truck would any of the grounds connected to rear lights have anything to do w it.....I sure doubt it but thought id ask.
Boy I don't know mine are different than that, what I ended up doing was going to local place and just having them bend the originals....I can tell by looking at that picture that my lines are different....the guy at line tube did say they used multiple companys to make these lines from the...
So I ordered 4wd Cross over fuel lines for my 86 k10 from inline tube... And they arnt correct The guy at inline tube is telling me my k10 has 2 wheel drive fuel lines ....is this correct? he said gm used 2wd lines sometimes on 4wd trucks????
I'm gona buy everything a little at time raised steering arm ect.....but my main concern is do I need a different front shackles or will originals work ok?
So I went ahead and ordered front 8 inch springs. These things should be a direct bolt right? No changing shackles ect? I'm buying all parts a little at a time.
Ok so I bought 8 inch springs for the front of my truck, I'm buying everything separately to lift it. Now the 8 inch springs are a direct install correct? No changing shackles ect?
Bought brand new echlin pollak valve you can clearly see where the 1/4 fuel line goes there's 5/16 on the new one...what frick??? Anybody delt with this on aftermarket
Will I only need to press and hold the button for 2 seconds to activate the left tank? And then to switch to passenger tank I simply push the switch upwards? Sorry about all the questions I've never had dual tanks.
