87 corvette in neutral, without keys?

Yes the doors are unlocked. That’s not a problem. I wondered if I could do that but I wasn’t sure how the security stuff worked. Seems like if it’s that easy, there’s no point having security systems in place.

87 corvette in neutral, without keys?

I tried the dealer first. I have the title in my name. But they told me that it was too old to do that. The locksmith told me that he could cut a key off the vin, but that those cars had a lot of problems with the switches, and that there was about a 90% chance that the switch had been changed...

87 corvette in neutral, without keys?

My father in law traded for an 87 corvette a couple years ago. He wants to give it to my son, but he has lost the keys. It’s about $300 to get a new one made because of all the security gizmos. So he’s in no hurry. In the meantime, the car is sitting out in the weather, and it’s leaking. The...

Selling a work truck, van, 2 motorcycles.

That’s what we have guys, let me know if you want any additional pics. Again these belong to my father in law so he has final say on any sales. Ask me anything, I’ll tell you the truth. I’m not here to make enemies over this stuff.

Selling a work truck, van, 2 motorcycles.

Last is a 2005 Honda shadow. I had this bike running last summer, all it needed was a good battery and fuel and it started right up. Hauled it here and it has sat with a sign on it since. Should still start with a fresh battery. Is in good shape overall, just a small bit of rust on the rack on...

Selling a work truck, van, 2 motorcycles.

Next is a 1995 Harley Davidson sportster deluxe. Last ran probably 5 years ago, will need some work. Tires are dry rotted. Tank reeks of old fuel. But it has custom paint and lots of chrome. He’s convinced it’s worth 5,000, but he may take less with a cash offer.

Selling a work truck, van, 2 motorcycles.

Up next is a 1988 Chevy 6 lug 2500. Has been sitting 10 plus years. Has the 5.0 with automatic transmission, I’m assuming the 700R4. About 126k miles. Transmission may have been slipping in reverse when parked, that information is iffy. I’m also trying to get this one running. Cheyenne package...

Selling a work truck, van, 2 motorcycles.

I’m listing these for my father in law. They belong to him, he has the final say on the price. He also has no clue about vehicles so he’s kind of on his own level. With that said, We have a few vehicles for sale. Ask me any questions, I will be 100% honest. It’s no big deal to me if they sell or...

Does anyone know who made this cupholder?

Too bad that won’t work with a floor shift manual. That’s a really neat looking way to do it.

Catalytic converters: does your square have them?

My 78 k10 is a factory non cat truck. Factory duals as well. Still running duals with no cats.

New impact: air vs battery powered?

Thanks for everyone’s input. I ended up with the 24 volt kobalt from Lowe’s. I’ve only used it once to remove my tires. It worked great.

Talk me out of cutting my dash

I like that, and I like alpine stuff in general. But I still use cd because I still have 50-60 of them lol. My pioneer that I’m thinking about using has an auxiliary plug and a USB port on the front. I don’t use voice commands or blue tooth. But I could still plug my phone into the auxiliary...

Talk me out of cutting my dash

Theres a write up here on the site where someone put a din radio in. He mentioned using the Metra kit that includes the metal support plate and the trim piece to finish everything off. I found the kit on amazon for around $15. It still shows the metal piece, but the reviews say that it is now...

Talk me out of cutting my dash

Yes I definitely planned on taking my time and doing it right. But there is a large group of people that don’t care about doing things right. Those are the guys that look like they cut the dash with an axe.

Talk me out of cutting my dash

I considered that at one point. Jc Whitney used to sell something called shelf it, which attached to the sun visor mounts to create a shelf. I was going to put the CD player there, but I decided not to. I have a custom deluxe with no trim. There was no way to hide the massive amount of wires...

    Need exhaust ideas

Oh believe me I’d like to put an all new system under it. But I’ve got a family to provide for first. Plus other things I want to do to the truck, such as new speakers and shocks. None of this would even be a concern if one muffler hadn’t rusted out. So why not replace what needs to be replaced...
