    My truck WAS a Custom Deluxe as well.It originally had a rubber floor mat.The vinyl made a night and day difference.It’s so quiet now.I also put sound mat and insulated pad.

    I can say from experience that vinyl is a real pain to work with cold.If you don’t have a heated shop,you’ll have to put a heater (little buddy)inside the truck (I did),or wait until summer if you choose vinyl.Carpet hides dust better.Vinyl cleans easier.

    What was the time frame that the 2nd radiator went bad? Coolant definitely has a life expectancy.Not saying you reached that,but I’m curious. I try and change the coolant every 2-3 years.I also use more of a 60% coolant 40% water mix.I use Prestone green.Tastes good.

    Take lots of pictures and pull the carb off so you can see what’s going on with the manifold.That’s the only way you’ll be able to fix this problem.You gotta have all the bolts in it for mounting.

    About differentials

    I feel the same.Simplicity with the right comforts.I like I can wrench on major parts of the engine without my entire tool chest.I like that plain and a bit unrefined feel.It’s great
