    2WD to 4x4 conversion?

Also, you could add a rear locking differential to your current truck and would extremely surprised at its new capabilities. Then if you do turn your truck into a 4WD,your rear axle will be ready. In the mean time, you can source a donor truck or you may end up liking your donor so much, you just fix...

Wondering if I could get some honest opinions

it’s a 3/4 ton which is good.Hard to say what I think YOU should pay.I’d drive it,crawl under it and look around with a flashlight.Which you won’t be crawling under with a 6” lift.So,6” lift, now you gotta look to see if he did it right and has steering area braced up right and the steering...

Tall 3 core rad vs shorter 4 core

    I can’t speak to 70’s models for sure,but I know the 84-85’ model on the 4 core radiator took a 1 piece shroud.The rad is taller and wider.28” wide x 19” tall I believe.They call the shroud for the 3 core 1 piece as well,but it’s 2 half's stapled together,where the 4 core is really 1 solid...

    2WD to 4x4 conversion?

No.More often then not,4.10s was used, but it could be a couple different ratios. If you end up piecing your truck together, make sure what ever ratio decide on,but axles must match.

    2WD to 4x4 conversion?

What year is the truck? If it’s 88’ or newer, there’s a host of companies that make 4WD conversions. If it’s older, than the previously statement applies.I’m sure someone has done this before.YouTube may have some answers

    2WD to 4x4 conversion?

Only difference is the front of the frame.2wd is coils,4WD is leaf springs.

    2WD to 4x4 conversion?

It would be easier to transfer your cab to a 4WD frame, unless you have good fabrication/welding skills.

14 bolt rear hub seal advice

I like timken or national seals myself.Next time you put a new seal in the hub,run your fingernail over that spindle where the seal rides. If your nails catches anything or you see any wear, you can adjust the depth slightly on how far you drive the seal in the hub. You have a backing plate for...

    Paint Battery Tray

For a daily driver,no matter what paint you use,it’s just one of those items that need wired wheeled and repainted every 5 years or so,possibly sooner depending on area.A good primer is red oxide industrial paint. The way GM stamped the trays, the lip of where it should drain sticks up a bit,so...

    Cooper Discoverer MTP

I’ve owned all kinds of tires.Running the STT Pros.So far,so good. They’re popular where I live because of the oilfield, rough rocky caliche roads,or just sharp rocks. Most of the bigger companies run them on company pickups.
