    Side post?

    Make your own cables out of welding cable.I got heavy duty connections from advanced auto.I added red shrink wrap for positive side.They make red cable as well,but 6’ of black cable was cheap.

    Squealing belt

    Even if a belt looks like it’s running true,it may be off slightly causing squeals.A solid belt works better when things are slightly off because of the side contact area.Or at least it sounds good to me.Make the squealing stop.It makes me cringe almost as bad as a nagging 4 letter word

    Another Gearing Question.....

    It honestly depends on your power.The older trucks,especially 1 tons was geared low for towing.Getting some where real fast wasn’t too much a concern then. I would keep the 4.10s.If you don’t have the power it will help between gears on that tranny while towing,help your clutch too.

    Looks like you did your homework.@shift pro is right with 4.56.You can go up tire size to offset if needed.Go with 4.10s and wish for more,then turn around and gear swap again...rather not. If you are gonna change gear ratios,I absolutely think you should go with the full float.Beefy and easier...

    I think @bucket is right.You need a good frame and a good cab.Or another truck to and just use it completely.But having the cab will make your project simpler and definitely cheaper.Anything that is custom and involves welding will be expensive.And hopefully it’s someone who understands...
