    I was thinking other changed the tread pattern on the BFG all terrain to look like a more modern type tire on the edge of it. Maybe this is it and I forgot what the old one looked like. I remember the shoulders used to be pretty Sharp and squared off.

    I change the oil in my k10 yearly. I use 15w40 with a quality filter. I usually put about 1000 miles a year or less on it.

    I had Grabber HT tires on my Sequoia. I was happy with the price and wear I got out of them. Pretty much what was advertised tread life. Only difference bis that I had to run them to almost nothing, not just to wear bars.

    That's the old school BFG tread pattern right? Where did you find those. Didn't think they have made those in several years...maybe half a dozen at this point. Whats the production date on those?

    Derek Bieri says that he learned from his dad and other dirt track racers said that the Chevy small block only needed 7-8psi per 1000. BUT those guys are trying to win races and are not trying to run those engines several hundred thousand miles.

    I know it's a mental thing but your oil temperature not that much different when it's 100f outside vs 85f. It's already several hundred degrees in a hot engine already

    I used the tool but I didn't hit it with a hammer it screws one of the rivets up. I ended up putting brhe whole thing in the vise and slowly closing it to crush the rivet. Still isn't right like factory but I lived with it. I think the second one I didn't undo the hinge rivet. I can't remember...

    I did mine a few years ago. It was a pain. I slightly tore one sliding it in the frame. I don't think they got completely in place right. I too took one totally apart and didn't need too. The second one I did not take apart as much it I remember. I bought the rivet kit and it didn't work easy...
