Long tube headers that fit 4wd k5’s
It’s just bolted on and easily removable. I just wasn’t sure if there was a set that fit and kept this bracket in place. I’m ok with removing it as I’m sure I’ll never need it and haven’t needed it on my 82 K10. Ben- Itali83

The bracket I circled in red is the one in question. The differential housing has a pad that the rubber stop will hit if taking a fall guy type jump and landing. This truck has the quad shock set up. Do any long tube headers fit a tbi k5 4wd? By this I mean not having to remove the bump stop on the passenger side that bolts to the frame and would hit on the axle at the differential? High output alternator
I’ve already done the wiring upgrades. 4ga cable from alternator to battery. 4ga ground from body to frame, frame to battery, frame to motor. I haven’t done the headlight relay set up yet but I’ve got a tired alternator and want to upgrade. Ben- Itali83

So you guys with the 12si alternator, which application did you use for a bolt in conversion? Also, are you still using the single V-belt drive pulley? If so, does it squeal at all? We all know that the old school v-belts like to squeal under load and I’m wondering if a higher output alternator...- Itali83

I spent some time updating the electrical system today. Ran 4ga cable from alternator to battery. Ran a 4ga Cable from battery ground to the frame rail. Added a 4 lug power point under the hood where I will grab power for my stereo, headlight relay set up and whatever else I may need down the... -

what did you use for a heated o2 sensor? And did you just run ignition power to it for the heater element? This truck will be used in the winter time and I’d like to have it in closed loop as much as possible. thanks ben- Itali83

Started my stereo system install. I couldn’t bring myself to cut the factory dash so I’m putting my head unit in the console. Along with some 4” speakers, my amp, cap, some usb power ports, some blue LED floor lights. I’ve got 2 old school JBL 10” subs, some nice 6x9’s in boxes out back. And new... -
Radiator overflow nipple broken.. options?
Solder it back on. If you can’t, JB weld it. I’ve done both with good results. There is never pressure in that tube so it’s not that hard to re attach. Ben- Itali83

What have you done to your square lately??
Got it aligned after doing upper and lower control arm bushings a month or so ago. Can’t believe it still has the factory GM riveted upper ball joints after 33 years and 290,000 miles. They’re tight as can be and grease-able So I didn’t replace them with Napa crap. Ben -

I would make 100% sure you do or don’t have spark when it won’t start. Then you know if you have a fuel or ignition problem. I will 2nd the coolant temp sensor problem. Have experienced it 1st hand.
