    Bent clutch linkage

I plan on replacing everything if I have to pull the trans, it’s dripping from like the rear of the trans aswell I think it’s gear oil or trans fluid it stinks, and it’s a silicon seal like it’s been apart before. I don’t feel like six shims is right

    Bent clutch linkage

Well considering the inspection plate is missing and part of the bell housing has been trimmed away it’s very possible debris has gotten into the clutch. I haven’t changed the clutch or anything yet but I plan on replacing the flywheel, clutch disc, pressure plate, throw out bearing, all...

    Bent clutch linkage

Changed motor mounts and rebuild the Zbar thing. Everything has been going fairly smoothly although I do still have a little shutter at some points when taking off in first, not low, it’s usually at beginning of pedal so could that be possible clutch slipping or? It’s not the engine moving by...

    Bent clutch linkage

Here’s a video of the motor mount movement with a pry bar, I got two new ones and I’m replacing them tonight. I fixed the pivot ball last night and cleaned the zbar and put new grease in it.

    Bent clutch linkage

I’m starting with motor mounts since I didn’t know which trans/tcase ones I needed. I’ll get them all changed, it’s a work truck for now but my little sister (14) wants the truck whenever she gets old enough. I told her I’d break and fix it until it was hers then it’s her problem lol

1987 Chevrolet 350 tbi high idle

Yep the threaded part has a tiny hole in the bottom. I bet that’s my missing oil pressure sensor. But now I’m curious on why it isn’t leaking oil if the sensor isn’t on the engine

    Bent clutch linkage

Gonna start with motor mounts and pivot ball, eventually replace all the bushing and mounts, it’s a 78 k10, now that I think of it, I’ve mentioned before that you could feel the toque twist in the stick as you’re taking off.

    Hydraulic clutch problem

Clutch is almost 2 years old, around 4000 miles so far. From previous owners apparently this truck has always eaten slave cylinders. If I constantly drive it everyday the pedal isn’t as noticeable but if I don’t drive it a week it becomes almost undriveable

    Hydraulic clutch problem

1987 Chevrolet V20, I’m still having slave problems. I can’t keep pressure in the clutch pedal. My current problem is the fluid is getting warm and got really dark so tomorrow after work I’m going to drain it and flush it with new fluid. The pedal feels hard to an extent, but it grabs at the...

    Bent clutch linkage

New picot ball will be here next week and I’ll replace it and the motor mounts although the engine doesn’t rotate any with revving?

    Bent clutch linkage

I’ll eventually replace it all, but for now it’s a work truck I just need it fixed for the time being and then I can accumulate parts and change them one weekend

    Bent clutch linkage

I don’t know the differences in bushing materials never had to replace many. It started the jump and shutter in first to the point I couldn’t get across intersections so I started using low yo take off and now it’s got to where you can’t even use low. I ordered the engine side pivot ball and...

    Bent clutch linkage

What does the engine side pivot ball look like? Just googling I’ve found several differnt looking ones. I’ll replace the pivot ball first and do motor mounts when I get there but I need it driveable ASAP lol it’s my work truck

    Bent clutch linkage

So what you’re getting at is I most definitely don’t need to take this truck to work in the morning and I really need to replace these parts before things get ugly. The throw out bearing has squeaked since I got the truck but recently the clutch has been getting worse and worse with every drive...

    Bent clutch linkage

I didn’t think motor mounts would directly effect it that much, I’ll look into them. I’m not sure if the pivot is bent or what but it’s obviously not straight, the exhaust was still hot earlier so I couldn’t get as close as I’d like to

    Bent clutch linkage

Where is the spring supposed to connect? I read about the frame but mines ran towards a crossmember type deal

The bolt from the linkage to the block being like / isn’t a concern?

    Bent clutch linkage

I’ve been having some issues with my mechanical clutch to the point where I can hardly drive anymore. I adjusted it some yesterday with no help. I did notice where the linkage bolts to the block is bent. My main issue is it’s near impossible to take off without really giving some throttle...

    Quadrabog bogs

Since I’ve got a long lunch today I’m gonna try to work on this truck. There is a smell of fuel at idle more noticeable when it’s smoking, yes it’s still smoking white at idle and blows a larger puff when you apply throttle but clears out as you continue with throttle.

    Quadrabog bogs

No idea on condition it looks great externally like it’s been replaced at some point and the sending unit doesn’t get a great connection either which is annoying. I’m not sure if there’s an inline filter or not, I’ll have to add one and check the qjet filter.

    Quadrabog bogs

Also, yes I know my turn signal indicators are on when I’m on the brakes, the turn signal switch in the column is broken and the hazards are on so the relay has been unplugged. And yes I did start the truck in drive the second time it shut off. In the videos you can tell when I’m on the brakes...

    Quadrabog bogs

I adjusted them slightly looser. And here’s driving I loosened it and felt no different so I kept loosening until it stopped closing on its own then tightened until it would close on its own. Only thing is it was closing on its own but it had just a little lacking from being 100% closed it...
