    You don't need new doors. I went from manual to power and had to drill holes that were already marked out from the factory. So you will just have to plug holes. 2 on the bottom and one for the wire. The door panels you may need to get new.

    I pondered on looking for a tank my suburban as some of my fishing holes are very far from fuel stations. I only run single exhaust so I was going to find something that would go directly behind the transfer case. Theres a pretty big hole there for a tank.

    Welcome. All bed are interchangeable. The only big difference between the years are 73 to 76ish don't have the gas door.

    Mine is a v1500 suburban and only has 2 leafs in the front aswell.

    Is that a picture of the truck on the ground with tires on? If so those shocks are pegged out just like that.

    I got some 3000 grit sand paper from my auto body guys and knocked down the rust and the walls look good. So now we're on the wall of afm delete the bugger. Get it done and over with. May aswell throw a stage 2 cam in it. We will see. Got the heads some what cleaned up.

    So I talked to the shop it was at that diagnostic the bad lifter and they did a compression test and leak down test on that cylinder and it tested good so I think the rings are good. It sat for about a week before we tore it down. It was alot worse on there. I should of took a picture then...

    If you were to do a ls swap I would find a drive by cable and not wire. Would make life alot easier. I was going to do the whole ls swap thing but like said above. You can not go wrong with a good old sbc.

    Im pretty sure All dashes were made with the center like that. My suburban came with no radio from factory.

    Where does negative battery cable ground wire attach?

    The main ground should go to the intake or close to the alternater bracket(someone will know exactly for the year here) and there also should be wire going to the radiator support.

    Nice burb. One thing on those gas skid plates is if theres dirt packed in there and has been there for a long time don't touch it until your ready for a gas tank replacement.

    Crack the line in the back of the tbi and see if you got fuel there. If you do i would check your fuel regulator. Sometimes the lines colaspe around the transmission and around the fuel filter. Check there aswell

    I would check your flywheel torque converter bolts. I've seen them loosen up after a fresh install. Even check your trani bolts. I've even seen them come loose and make wierd noises.

    There are two spots were fusible links are. On the starter and just above the brake booster on that terminal with two nuts on it.

    Are you 4x4? They made the front axle wider for turning radius. I've been on a hunt for a g30 van axle cause they are supposed to be a few inches wider. Same with some select gmt400 axles that are 6 lug are wider. Not the easiest to find either.

    That's definitely a cool way of doing them. I was going to make some paracord ones but I'm liking this alot more. They don't look like they stick out to far. Is it hard to get your hand in there and close. And not to sure why the italics won't shut off lol
