    BC’s boat/dumpster fire thread

This one is way closer to being turn key ready to go fishing than what I have now. Bonus points that it’s titled lol.

    BC’s boat/dumpster fire thread

Well, you were right. Small Johnson lol. It comes with new wood for the seats, it just hasn’t been put in.

    BC’s boat/dumpster fire thread

It might be small, but it’ll get the job done…..

    BC’s boat/dumpster fire thread

I’m going to get my dad to send some, it’s his pastor that is selling it and they’re two hours away. It’s a 15 hp for sure, evinrude i think.

    BC’s boat/dumpster fire thread

Here we go again guys. Got the opportunity to pick this up for $350. Last ran three years ago. And unlike my current boat, has a title. What do y’all think?

    Trailer mounted winch

That’s a good idea. For now I just throw the battery in the bed of the truck until I need the winch. My trailer stays locked inside a shed when not in use so I’m not too worried about theft.

    Trailer mounted winch

I’ll probably be using the winch only a few times a year, and the heaviest thing I’ll be loading might be a dead golf cart. So not any serious use. I also should have specified that I’ll be pulling the trailer with my 2009 Nissan Titan, not my square. I just didn’t know exactly how the wiring...

Can you send me a schematic of how you hooked everything up?

    A couple sets of lights

Selling a couple sets of lights that I have hanging around. A set of KD brand driving lights. Great condition and both work, only downside is on lens is cracked. Might can be repaired, or a replacement might be available on eBay. $15. And a set of Hella 500’s. They work great. No cracks...

    Trailer mounted winch

I just happen to have an extra lawn mower battery out in the shop. I had wondered if it would be enough, but if I’m charging off the truck then it should be fine.

    Trailer mounted winch

Ok, new question. Would that big pin in the 7 pin plug be enough to power a couple of led work lights on the deck of the trailer? Since the trailer is a 4 pin flat plug, I would probably just wire up a separate plug for the work lights and plug it into the truck when needed. On the other hand, I...

    Trailer mounted winch

Thanks guys. That answers that, I’ll just go with a set of wires to the battery and a plug in the bumper. I had a trailer set up like that years ago, but that was for a 9,000 pound winch. I was hoping I could get away with the smaller wiring since this is a much smaller winch.

    Trailer mounted winch

I spent the better part of the afternoon putting a 2500 pound winch on my 6x12 utility trailer. Got the winch and switch mounted, now I’m trying to figure out the power situation. Short term fix is to grab the battery out of my square and just use that, but I’d like a longer term better...

    K10 Rear Hubcap

I believe I have what you need, I know I have a couple extra but I’m not 100% sure where they are. I’ll see if I can put my hands on them.

    Budget Beater Build: 2004 Dakota

Man I would drive the wheels off that thing. Looks like a really nice truck to me.

Has anyone made a set of light covers?

A while back, I sold some KC 5x7 light covers I had. Well, now that I have another push bar, I want a set of covers for my cheapo lights. But, KC seems to have discontinued all their vinyl covers, and they go for stupid money on eBay. As well as I remember, there wasn’t much to them, just vinyl...

    Push bar

Man, if shipping wouldn’t kill the deal, I’d be all over that! That’s the first one I’ve ever seen that uses three bolts on each side of the frame instead of two.

    BC’s boat/dumpster fire thread

Ok that makes sense. Been out in the heat too long today I guess. This is the first trailer I’ve had with bearing buddies.

    BC’s boat/dumpster fire thread

Ok, I’ve even working on the trailer some this week. Got new lights and wiring run, new bunk boards, new winch, and adjusted everything to fit the boat. Started on the hubs today to do new bearings and ran into this. The cotter pin doesn’t have enough room to come out. The nut is recessed into...

    Are these flares sought after?

Does anyone know if that air dam under the front bumper is a factory piece?

    BC’s boat/dumpster fire thread

Wow, this has been a Dumpster Fire of a thread! Lol well, that’s why I got rid of the fiberglass one and got me an aluminum John boat. Anyway the motor was free, just trying to work with what I have. That’s good information on the evinrude, I don’t know a thing about them lol.

    BC’s boat/dumpster fire thread

Does anyone here have any knowledge about these old Johnson motors? Like what’s missing from the protrusion in the last picture? Any idea where to find parts?

I asked him, waiting on pics and a response.

Hey sorry, just saw this. He says the hubs are gone, he’ll sell the cluster but he doesn’t have a price in mind yet. He’s sending pics
