Wish everyone a safe and happy holiday season!

Hi Everybody!
I have an original Delco AM/FM/Cassette/CB Radio that I want to install in my 85 GMC and am curious as to what others have used for the CB antenna. I would prefer something less obtrusive than the whip antennas from days gone by. Thanks in advance for helping me out!
I did the official first oil change on it today, yesterday I did the first major repair work on it by replacing the rear bumper with the one pictured above.
I couldn't believe how difficult just changing the bumper was. The old bumper had the brackets I needed for the new (to the truck)...
Hi Everyone!
While the progress on my 85 GMC 1/2-ton is moving slowly, I needed a truck NOW. So I found one: 1978 Chevy 3/4-ton for a whopping $3,000.00 -- so far it's money well spent.
It has issues, but nothing like the turd of a 1970 C/10 it's replacing. Decent list of options: dual tanks...
Thanks everyone!
The two trucks I have are definitely unique to each other - the original 85 had a 305 with auto overdrive transmission, and the parts truck 85 had what they called the "vortec" V-6 in it with a "MX1" transmission option, which until I read through the posts seems to be a TH-400...
Hi Everyone!
Went over to look at parts on the second 85 GMC I have (parts truck), crawled under the side and see that it has a TH-400 with a 2-piece driveshaft. Because this truck initially had a Vortec V-6 in it I'm now guessing that both the engine and transmission have been replaced in it...
Well, finally was able to get this project started -- stop by Project Calvin here:

Welcome, Terry!
I'm off of 635 and Parallel in KCK, working on turning two poor-shape 85 GMCs into one really good 85 GMC. Should have a lot of spare parts eventually, let me know if you're looking for something specific.
Hi Everyone!
I'm working on taking two 1985 GMCs and building one good one, with an Olds 350 and TH-400 transmission. It'll not be stock, but nothing too radical -- this will be used to haul my race car trailer and see a lot of time on the streets.
Look forward to asking a bunch of questions...
