What have you done to your square lately??

Merry Christmas. Made a rolling weight sled to transfer between the two trucks. Have a series of long hall trips over the divide coming up. Extremely important for wife’s Chemo. If we miss a trip she has to start all over. Outfitting the rig for every possible winter event. Total of 360#. Won’t...

I'm sure it's an age old question, K 20 ride quality improvements.

Experienced the ride quality of various tires at a dealership. Brand new F150’s, same trim level. First one rode like a barkalounger. Second one over same test drive would transmit every road imperfection to the steering wheel & to a lesser degree the seat. First truck had Michelin P rated tires.

    Clutch pedal not fully returning

Either the bushing is incorrect, the bracket is wallowed or broken or the pedal lever is worn out. Should be no side to side.

    Clutch pedal not fully returning

After replacing top bushing is it still sloppy side to side or binding? Recently had same, but the smaller spring broke a was straight forward. Even a little bind will negate the small spring force.

    Read this plug?

KISS principal. Previously removed and cleaned DS tank as fuel filter was plugged. Pulled 2nd filter just upstream from fuel pump, also near completely blocked. Retuned the 1403 Edelbrock. Runs decent now. I have a Holly Projection set up, never installed, exploring the adaptor now. Concept is...

    Read this plug?

While I won’t be doing that you are probably spot on as being a plow truck “all” it’s run time is below 2000 rpm, never gets a good blow out! That’s what happens when you use a truck like a tractor.

    Read this plug?

Haven’t ck’d compression, no smoke, doesn't use oil. #8 has a noisy lifter though. Heads professionally rebuilt +- 1000 miles ago. But, that was probably in 1992. I replaced all plugs. I’ll keep an eye on them. Swapped out Ebrock 1406 for a 1403 recently due to years of corn gas aging in the...

Finished up dual battery installation, working well.

Over the decades of owning my K20 Ive run duals w/ isolator for cab over & now straight parallel to keep up w/ the electric plow controls & plow lights. The best deal Ive found on batteries is about $70.00 apiece at Wally World. Any issues and they get replaced free for up to 3 years. I keep a...

    Broken clutch return spring

Thanks AuroraGirl, Yes, it’s under the dash. I see now I Didn’t make my situation clear. Truck is a 74 K20. I followed the link and it looks like my spring. Need to look again for the described attachment points. If everything agrees no problem as I can repair or modify springs. Side note, saw...

    Broken clutch return spring

While replacing fouled plugs today my clutch pedal broke the attached spring. It’s not the monster spring, but a 2nd one. This clutch gets a workout as I plow multiple driveways, 9” yesterday. I’ve not found a useful diagram at LMC or the shop manual. Can’t determine the hook points. It’s...

    Lifted Dually Suburban wheels/tires?

I ran duals on my 74 for a couple years. Simple screw on fender extensions made from black 24 gauge flashing. In combo w/ the overload leafs they really settled down the roll from our 2700# Eldorado cab over. They looked tuff and got a lot of compliments. Once a month I ran to Pueblo over Wolf...
