What have you done to your square lately??

I started at the OE wiring harness coming through the firewall and the fuse box. From there I started looking at what new wires have been spliced in and tracking where they went. I’ve figured out that I have three additional things added that I can separate and re-wire more cleanly with wrap and...

    Rochester Quadrajet Woes

My rebuild kit just showed up at my place and I'm really happy from the looks of what they put together for my specific carb... If you (original poster) are looking for a true rebuild, check these guys out. Looks to be a quality parts list and you give them your exact carb number to build from...

    Huck's daily - 2005 Z71 crewcab

Nice work on this thing! :D Love it! As a fellow cateye crew cab owner.. I'm following along for more inspiration for mine too ;) Keep up the good work. Sidebar.. love to see that they improved the RP5-GM11 interface box and wiring kit! The one I installed in mine seems so flimsy, thin plastic...

What have you done to your square lately??

haha. Good to know I wont be the only one. I dont know what most of these do - so I'm going to have to dig around for an electrical diagram for these things then isolate what came from the factory that way from what was later added or modified so I can get my spaghetti organized better. :D

What have you done to your square lately??

Started taking apart the dash a little and then looked on the underside... Quick question; Y'all have a bunch of spaghetti hanging down under your dash too?? I've got some work ahead of me... Lord, beer me strength. :party52:

What have you done to your square lately??

This is the stuff I like to hear.. hah. I've debated throwing on a brand new carb instead of rebuilding my Qjet.. but then I decided, no, I want the experience and learning of pulling a carb all the way apart and learning to rebuild it. So I opted for that route and ordered a kit from the...

Where's your line? ("Too much rust")

OMG yes... I am feeling SO much better about the Burb now. Keep these pics coming, guys. :happy107::happy175:

Where's your line? ("Too much rust")

Thanks for the input guys! I'm less frightened - but still anxious a little about it. hah. hah, this is exactly why I asked this question.. I know everyone's "line" is different. Normally I had been closer to your line. But in this case, I'm trying to sway myself towards the possibilities...

Where's your line? ("Too much rust")

Thanks all. I'm still thinking the best route may be to pick up a donor body sometime (or find a junkyard that will let me cut some body parts off a burb they have sitting there). :)

Where's your line? ("Too much rust")

haha. You guys are awesome. Thanks for all the thoughts.. I think you all are talking me into continuing my bid for it. This would be solely a project vehicle - sitting off to the side and me working on it as time and money comes available. It would be a toy. My level of experience with bodywork...

Where's your line? ("Too much rust")

hahah this is true. But if I swap over all the interior from the old to a new body.. the memories could still be in tact, right? hah.

Where's your line? ("Too much rust")

Great point on the single piece body of the Burb. Yep.. That was my thought - worse case, I can always buy a donor decent body and start cutting parts out and merge the two. The one I'm looking at has clean, nice, interior, the fun trim level good options, good frame, and an okay motor.. so it's...

Where's your line? ("Too much rust")

This is sort of how I'm feeling too.. the frame is solid. Body rust is what is going on. But its not just in the usual rocker places with easy replacements.. Some harder places like door jam, window frame, harder stuff. So the level of difficulty (aka "money") goes up a bit. Thanks for voicing...
