    Engine start-up, Lean code 44

Only current thing I use for codes are the service light. So NO. I did get a USB to obd1 from obd diagnostics. This should allow me to run like rt tuner pro and get real-time info once I purchase and download. This will also (in my mind) help me determine if I want to goto upgrading the ecm...

On our 87 silverado (two 20's) the senders are pretty much between the cab and bed. So far, pulled down and fixed drivers. Whew doggies!

    Engine start-up, Lean code 44

Running the truck on it's 2nd break-in. Running between 2500-3000rpm. Getting code 44 (lean exhaust). I assume I need to increase fuel psi at regulator. I haven't set idle timing yet, I was going to get her broke in 1st? I thought my Maddox gauge said 14psi at location just past fuel filter...

Driver Tank up, ran it for it's 1st 10-15 minutes. Front bypass fitting started leaking a drip. Daughter's like "something getting on the winshield".Shut down and started tightening. Yikes. Engine definitely got up to 210°. It was so exciting to run the 1st time.

What have you done to your square lately??

Yeppers, I had the same problem. So, I assume you took down the poly cover. I loosed back strap some, so it's not poking through the frame. Removed all 8 bracket bolts. I supported tank with a trans jack whatever will fit...got the front bracket away from the frame enough to get a 18mm...

Pruning shears worked great. I ✂️ the ground wire on drivers side. I can get to bolt now. :boxing: What ARE the three sizes? I have 3/8" id and 1/4" on the way.

What have you done to your square lately??

Like all this stuff we get great info, but also it takes just doing it. Which is some of their point. Once I tear into it no longer is as intimidating. Valve diagram from resourse manual is correct. I'm just glad there was enough gas in tank to let me know it didn't just run out of gas...

Yeppers, I think we're on the same page. I over think things too, so also just wanted to make sure IF I had to in the future I can get back down regarding the front strap thread.

I recognize that green and black truck, from this forum? Oh, is that yours? Lol. I was thinking if I ever painted my own vehicle, like my 04 burb, I'd like to do something like that.

What have you done to your square lately??

The front drivers side sits above the frame, thus no hole (in frame). I can't get to (tried a lot) because the shield for the cat is there. I used pivot etc extensions bla bla. Removing the poly shield did give more room to move the tank, but not enough and strap thread hung up over frame...

What have you done to your square lately??

Hmm, good info. I'm thinking the front strap bolt may need cut by a 1/2" after I put on the tank. I will NOT be able to get to it once I put it up, and that will help tremendously. I also caused some of my own problems with the trans jack. FYI, I got to front strap bolt with long 18mm...

Truck turned out nice. The weld up is always impressive to me, and hidden under the deck is very cool. Wildfires look scary. Hope it does rain.

Your a long ways Brother! I'm basically DFW. North East. I appreciate it though. We'll get there. Anything worth doing is worth the struggle. Assemblies are on the way as of yesterday, so that's motivation. I'm looking up straps, and will get hoses. Saw some posts and good ideas when I...

What have you done to your square lately??

Wylie, and just may, lol. No success today after lunch. Does that damn poly cover have to come down 1st? The strap bolts stick through da frame (front above) and wouldn't let it come down after I took out the 8 bracket bolts. So after prying a bit, I stuck a socket through the frame hole...

What have you done to your square lately??

Cool, good to know. Guess it's always just tackling something I haven't before, then I'm like, that wasn't bad, just like someone said, LOL! I have a siphon hand pump and trans jack, so should be fine. The tanks have the black poly protectors...same bolts drop the tank or will they be separate...
