Whats you gas mileage on your squarebody truck?
For what it's worth, (remember the original question) I got about 17 mpg on the highway Tucson to Phoenix trying hard to stay at about 65. Mine is a 84 K20 with a fresh HT383. I thought the gas gage was kaput cause you know how they are. This was with the restrictive original cast exhaust...- Hogger

What have you done to your square lately??
I treated my fresh 383 to some Pro Comp shorty headers and a couple of 2.5 inch tubes with Dyno Max turbo mufflers. The shift linkage binds on the header but I could drive it home. Shift linkage kit on the way. This means I have the factory cast iron exhaust manifolds (84/350) and I wish they... -

ProComp "shorty" headers
Well, fyi, there is a little interference. In park, none but it gets worse from there. I am able to shift into OD to get it home from the muffler shop today. A kit is on the way from Shift Works.- Hogger
