    Just bought a 1995 GMC C1500

I'm gonna tackle the draining of the fuel tank tomorrow, and have been brainstorming it. Can I pull the fuel filter off the frame rail, attach a larger size hose to the tank end, turn the key on and let the pump push the fuel out into a container?

    Just bought a 1995 GMC C1500

Earlier today, I was thinking it was the starter, I was so stoked because I have a brand new starter in my garage off a 89 454 bbc, I looked online, and found out that I could use it on a 350. So I said fuck yeah, save me some money and a trip to the parts store. So I crawled underneath and...

    Just bought a 1995 GMC C1500

I'm kinda familiar with the tbi on my 1990, with the 700r4, but this mofo is all electronic. I notice this one doesn't have a detent on it, and the computer is right there in the engine bay. Gives me the creeps.

    Just bought a 1995 GMC C1500

Thinking about blowing out each cylinder with compressed air through the plug holes tomorrow, and hope for the best. The camera idea sounds like a winner, but ill need to source one out. Can I blow air through the fuel lines, or flush them out with good gas?

    Just bought a 1995 GMC C1500

I bought it with the intentions of parting it out and making a profit, but after getting it home, I'm thinking DD. I sure hope I don't have to drop the tank. Gonna try the siphon first. I really don't know much about TBI's, I've read they are really sensitive to bad gas or debris.

    Just bought a 1995 GMC C1500

Just bought this 1995, GMC C1500 SLE, 5.7 TBI, automatioff the original owner. He had is sitting in his yard since 2014. Story is, his mechanic told him it blew out a freeze plug, and replaced it, I couldn't see a new way one one the block. Then he told the owner the engine was seized. So it...

    Visor or not to visor

X5, I had a bad experience with visors back in the 90's. I just take my truck to the tint shop, and they put a 6" strip of dark tint across the top part of my windshield.

    Steering Issue - need help!!

On the video, If you look closely at the shaft where the pitman arm clamps onto it, you can see it slipping, or maybe I'm seeing things.

    Steering Issue - need help!!

From the sound of it, I would think its the pitman arm skipping teeth, they look pretty worn down too. With 9" of lift, I would look into getting a dropped pitman to go along with the raised steering arm. Your steering box is putting out the force, but the angle of the drag link isn't helping it...

    700r4 cross member spacers

I had the same deal, spacers were on top. couldn't figure out why. When I put on my 6" lift, I installed the transfer case lowering blocks, I probably could have used the spacers it had, but decided against it.

Oil leak from front differential on K10

It's a good idea to count how many rotations the flange nut takes, to completely come off. When you reinstall, give it the same amount of rotations, so it's right back where it was. There's a crush sleeve in there that requires a certain amount of torque.

    A/C compressor

I did a serpentine conversion on my 86, I used my existing compressor, just swapped out the pulley, and it works just fine. I would think it'd be the same vice versa.

    Surging problem and cause

I had a surging issue on my 1990 c1500 TBI, which is basically the same as the 87. I spent months trying to find the solution, it turned out to be the temperature sensor. Not the one on the side of the engine block, but the one that sits right in front of the thermostat. I changed it out and no...
