    Torque converter connector

Well, I got the new solenoid in, new case connector, new connector, and wired it with a toggle switch. I checked the 12 volts going to the connector it was going on and off with the toggle switch. However, at the pressure switch, I jumped the two stubs to make sure the solenoid was clicking...

    Torque converter connector

Question, If the 4th gear pressure switch only allows(energizes) the torque converter to lock up in 4th gear, why do you need a vacuum switch?

    Torque converter connector

The pressure switch that I have, its a silver two prong, is that a 4-3 normally open? And the wires are they supposed to be heat resistant?

    Torque converter connector

I got the new solenoid in, I was gonna get ready to button it up, when I decided to put a new filter in. I threw my old one away and bought another, turned out it didnt seat properly for some reason. The old one was falling out by its own weight, new one wont even go in past the grommet. And it...

    Torque converter connector

Here's a pic of my original solenoid( the one that's bad). I've never a yellow one before. I wonder if the heat cooked the plastic on it and changed colors.

    Torque converter connector

My tranny has been shifting normally, I think the grommet on the filter neck got hard & shrunk with the heat. I have a deeper pan but maybe just a half inch deeper than stock. So I'm guessing it was still pulling fluid. I bench tested my solenoid and it was a bad(no clicking sound). I'm...

    Torque converter connector

Well, I finally got around to opening up the tranny today, and this is what I found. Also, when I pull off the pan, the filter came down with it. A while back I installed an aluminum deep pan, I was wondering if when the filter came off, was it starving my tranny of fluid? I tried to put the...

    Torque converter connector

Well I received my parts today, I was looking at the case connector, doesn't it supposed to have a rubber O-ring on it? gonna tackle this on Sunday. I'm gonna need some help guys. I still don't know how the actual solenoid comes out and new one goes in. Seems pretty straight forward, but I have...

    hydro assist with stock steering

I have heard the hydro assist helps quite a bit, because it replaces your steering stabilizers. But I never met anybody in person who has done the set up. A lot of online stuff says it is recommended with crossover steering.

    hydro assist with stock steering

I'm absolutely positive its the gear box, I'll make a video of the play it has in a bit. The input shaft turns, but the pitman arm shaft has a delay, not much, but nonetheless, it doesn't move in unison.

    hydro assist with stock steering

I bought a duralast reman from autozone last year, it had a little play in it after installing it, and a month later the shaft started a clicking sound when turning. It has a lifetime warrantee, so I took it back and got another. The replacement had a little play also. a couple months later it...

    hydro assist with stock steering

Has anybody ever done a hydro assist ram, with the stock steering? Been thinking about it because im happy with my 4" steering arm, 2" drop pitman arm, my drag link is at a perfect angle, and the truck steers very well. Ive replaced every steering part on the truck, but the 3 gear boxes ive gone...

Lock Up Converter Vacuum Switch FAIL???

    Torque converter connector

Ok, so I pulled out my connector yesterday and found this. The plastic legs have broke off inside the female part of the connector(I don't know what you call that part) its on the tranny itself. I bought a new connector with the 3 wires on it. How hard is it to replace the female part in...

Lock Up Converter Vacuum Switch FAIL???

You are correct Chengny, I put in a new 15 amp fuse, and the acc where the brown power wire to the tcc, and everything is good. I bypassed the vac switch with a toggle switch, I'm thinking I have to bypass the pink/redish connector also. I'm still trying to figure out what that switch it was...
