Problem is, I still ain’t got ‘em! Short of monkeying around with the proportioning valve, everything has been touched. Finally have a good pedal feel, just no stopping. ♂️. I dunno. It’s cold, I’m pissed off. Going in the house to pout.
The boy left Ol’ Bonnie at home while he went off to college. He ended up buying a different pickup. It had goofy 20” wheels/lo-pro tires on it that he couldn’t stand. So he swapped the wheels with Ol’ Bonnie for now. Poor ol’ girl…
Yes, it ran, but was weak. It was pulled in favor of the 400 he rebuilt. Then he ended up changing directions and not doing anything with that pickup and sold it. Last I knew, the engine is still sitting at the auto shop at the high school.
Done it, too. Only when it hasta/gotta run and the money just ain’t there. Some of it ran a long time, some of it… not so much… lol! The joys of being broke… lol
Those crank journals are rough. You might be able to polish it out and Plastigauge it, possibly run oversize bearings. I’d opt for a trip to the mechine shop if, if time and money allows.
Pulled the interior apart to clean. Prior owner was a bit of a pack rat. Kinda gross… Parts pickup we dragged home had a green bench in it. Looks a lot better.
