Not really interested in authenticity.. More comfort and utility... I'd even be open to bucket seats... Thanks for the link.. I'll check it out..

LOL.. Not Married... Is that little smiley in the list, or is it something you found on your own? My problem with them is that they're made of plastic, instead of metal... The mounting arm is plastic anyways...

    Seat Compatibility

What Make, Model, and year Cars, trucks, and SUV seats will fit in the square body trucks? Is there a comprehensive list somewhere that lists what sets will match up to the mounting holes on these trucks? I want to get something that reclines slightly (I know there's only so much I can get...

    Seat cover woes...

HotRodPC, THIS IS THE ONE I BOUGHT.. It looks identical to the one I saw at Oreilly too, packaging identical except for it was branded Oreilly instead of NAPA... I'm probably going to go down to NAPA in the next week or so, and take it back, or see if maybe I just got a seriously jacked up...

I ordered "THESE MIRRORS" for a temporary solution ($5 each from summit) They're plastic, and I have to use screws to mount them, but they're decent size, not too ugly, and cheap.. 'almost' perfect for temporary...

It would be nice if these sellers included a picture (or at least drawing) that showed what the mirrors they are selling look like mounted to a vehicle...

    choosing mirrors

I'm not taking it personal.. even a little... That's the trouble with this medium... No one can hear inflections in tone or facial expressions, body language or all that.. The tone intended is often not received by the reader, and often, every reader hears the convo in their head completely...

2 complete 4.3" monitor kits, with mounts, cameras, and wiring.. delivered $40 total... Might have to make custom visors to fit them side by side on the roof though... Have to look some more to make sure I get something that fits my needs and get the best bang for buck..

    choosing mirrors

Hmmm.. Was just thinking.. I could mount 2-3 monitors above the mirror on the cab roof or hanging down from it... Might be able to get that done for less than $50 including cameras.. Would just need to make a small, attractive housing for the cameras out of ABS, mount them on the front...

Something like this would be the hot ticket... (Kinda afraid to look and see what it costs, though).. I only need three, but I love the way this works.. and it acts like a regular rear view mirror when the monitors are off... 6 camera/3 monitor rear view mirror Maybe I can look at this as...

If I can figure out where to mount a couple of 5"-7" TFT monitors in the cab, that doesn't look retarded, I will go ahead and do the camera method.... Tempted to build a custom rear view mirror (mounted in the normal place on the windshield), that has three monitors in it (left - back up -...

Because I can't afford to back into anything.... or change lanes into anything.. and it ain't easy to turn around and look after 45 years in the construction industry... (let's just say I have an at home traction device and leave it at that.. ;) ) I have to put money into the drive line (plus...

Those are actually pretty nice looking.. Where did he have them mounted? Looks like they can't be mounted right next to a vertical surface, like the way the windows are in relation to the doors on a square body.. Were they ahead of the window/door? Or maybe I'm misunderstanding how they...

    choosing mirrors

Some people like lots of chrome, trim, and all sorts of doo dads sticking off their trucks/cars... I don't.. I want a minimalist approach to this truck.. I want as little trim, chrome, shiny as possible on it... I'm going for a very clean outside, very dark flat or eggshell gray, with a...

    choosing mirrors

I had a pair of those ford mirrors on my ranger 4x4 about 25 years ago... I liked them.. The mount itself was bulletproof, and if you had to go between something tight, you could completely fold them against the truck, and then fold them back out afterwards without losing adjustment... I don't...
