So the truck I bought and have started restoring is a 73c10, that someone at some point put a 327 in.. It currently has a TH350 in it, but I have future plans to add TBI and a 700r4 to get the gas mileage under control.. yeah, I found all that after the OP... I have also since noticed there are several wires stabbed into the fuse box, and I have a feeling that when I get into it, i will find that someone bypassed the headlight fuse, and that there is a short somewhere in that circuit and that is what caused...- R8rPhan

Dude, the plastic is visibly melted.. You can see where it's not as high as it should be, and in some cases the plastic between the connectors is completely melted away.... The insulation is melted back on a bunch of them.. Heck, some of them have melted their insulation together so that two or...- R8rPhan

Where to get these parts....
A friend just told me there's a similar year suburban abandoned in the woods a couple miles from here that looks to have the heater parts I need, as well as the stuff to convert this truck back to Power Brakes... He grabbed the seats and rear axle from it... To bad he didn't see it sooner... -

Where to get these parts....
Are there any special 'necessary' valves or whatever in the parts I need? I'm wondering why I couldn't just build a plenum myself that connects to the upper plenum, and then use regular round duct to replace the piece on the left? Anyone done this (surely some have), and have pictures and... -

So there is no way to install a hood release or otherwise lock the hood without wrapping an ugly (and major hassle) cable lock or something through holes or whatever?? Also, which forum do I ask about security systems and what not?- R8rPhan

The only part I've been able to find is for non AC versions, and it comes out from the main fan/diverter box (LMC has it for 30 bucks).. There's a valve of some kind in that port on A/C versions... The one I have comes out of the other plenum box of the two that I highlighted in red... The... -

73 Chevy C10 (with A/C) I appear to be missing the two Heat/AC distribution plenums highlighted in red in the picture below... Also missing whatever valve or whatever that is that is coming out of the bottom of the plenum on the left (shown exploded) Any idea who might sell/source these... -
