    AC Swap over

The electrical really isn't that bad to do. I would consider moving the front clip and bed, might be faster.

Always gasket match the exhaust, it is worth the time and effort on any sbc.

    rocker noise

Yeah the lfit is close to the limit for a sbc heads unless a shop cut the guides down or went to longer valves and pushrods. I don't remember any of the roller rockers being noisy enough to sound like loose rockers. I have seen a couple of people install restrictors and cause the lifter to not...

    Bolt TQ ?'s

I would recheck the clearances, just to be safe. If the torque was off it may have too mush bearing crush and create an issue.

    Carb to TBI

Those kits will use the carb intake so if it would use the existing EGR. The system you listed will work good for mild upgrades. The issue with the TBI unit is it is very sensitive to changes to internals on the engine. Since the TBI injectors are above the blades it reacts much like a carb...

    rocker noise

First off, the motor guy are not going to be willing to listen if they didn't build the engine. Usually a builder doesn't unless they know the person well. It is not right but it is the way the business goes. I would be leary of a builder that wants to tear down an engine without diagnosing it...

    Carb to TBI

I don't know what your budget looks like, but there are several stand alone systems out there. The FAST system or the MSD system do not require programming because they are adaptive. http://www.summitracing.com/parts/MSD-2900/ http://www.summitracing.com/parts/FST-30227-KIT/ It's just a...

    Installing Carpet

I guess you have already removed all the old stuff. The method depends on the manufaturer of the sound deadener and insulation. The factory put the deadener in first then the insulation. When I installed my I used a heat gun and started at the center of the firewall transmission hump junction...

    350 vs 383 vs 400

I have had a couple of the 400 blocks and didn't have any issues with overheating. I have seen quite a few that had heating problems but most were self induced.

    rocker noise

First off ,what lifters are you running? What is the oil pressure? What valves are in the heads? It could be a push rod length issue but you would have contact between the rocker and spring near the rocker arm or near the keeper it was. Most of the time a geometry problem gets ugly real fast...

    Turbo 350C to 4L60E

I deal with electronics all day at work and can deal with most issues that come up; I am more concerned about how well it will hold up. I drive it daily but do hammer it when I get the chance. I have considered tweaking on the engine more next spring and want to find out which is going to suit...

THe matter of how bad or good electronics are is not half as important as the manner in which you decided to deliver your message. I beleive we all are respectful on this site and do disagree on some subjects but telling someone they are wrong for their ideas is paramount to telling them tehy...

Edelbrock Intakes Dyno Testing on SBC

Curt, that is the reason I am using the cam I have. It works well in the same power band has the intake. I have been satisfied with the performance but if I were doing it over I would use the iron vortec heads, mine have too much compression which limits the selection of fuel. I have to run 91...

    Turbo 350C to 4L60E

I have not had the shaft spun but it is a good idea. The u-joints are new, I replaced them a couple of months ago when I had it out. I did not notice a worn area on the outside of the yoke, but I guess it could have worn splines. I will find someplace local to spin the shaft and I will make...

C20 Upper Control Arm Shaft Studs

Sounds right, with the support bracket there you can't access it. Looks like you are going to have to remove the a-frame either way it goes. If you can get it off you can tack the studs from the front side.

Sadly the diagrams that I have don't show the harness to harnes conectors. Have you checked, continuity, the burnt wire to ground? If it is a ground it would indicate a bad connection to ground causing a high amp draw and that would melt the wire.

Looks right, but I think it is riveted or bolted to the support bracket that is behind it (#17).
