    Anybody got a Jetta TDI?

I had a 2002 Jetta, not TDI, with the M code trans, it had a plug for checking the fluid on the pan, basically if fluid came out when you pulled the plug it was fine…..I dropped the pan to get rid of the old fluid and shot fresh fluid up through the hole when it was back on using a piece of...

    Source for new gauge needles

One of my friends made some by cutting a piece of appropriately colored plastic of a cat litter tub or something of the like, and gluing it on, didn’t look too bad.

    Can you clean gauges?

I wonder if once it’s dried, spraying some clear coat on would protect it enough to keep it from smudging in the future….just a thought

    Cushion Hitch

I had on of those on the ''85 Scottsdale C20 I drove in H.S. It was a hitch bumper It didn't look like the DMIs I've seen, looked more like pic attached. Was great for grain wagons, etc...stuff with no brakes. Would like to find another one like it, I know we removed it when we sold the truck...

I agree, I bet they are super comfortable but they look out of place Thanks! I was wondering what the storage area behind those roll up doors would be, I figured there would be shelving.

Thread pitch on the studs of an SM465 slave cylinder?

Anyone know this of the top of their heads? 5/16 fine? I need the nuts….Simone had already replaced with crappy chineasum unit that was held in with bolts (one was missing a nut). I have a stock unit I rebuilt but don’t have bolts for the studs…,,

I don't know that ether, I've looked around to find out but the only references to modifications I can find are regarding moving the spring shackles, if your trying to put the axle under an existing pickup....or you could put a bed on a C&C and have a goofy 4" gap unless you want to do some body...

Some squares for sale in my area.

I’m not entirely sure but I think it’s a C&C with a bed or a C&C axle on a pickup, I don’t think they were ever made factory that way from what I can find but maybe someone more knowledgeable can set us straight…. Love that look though

That K30 crew cab dually has been on marketplace for a couple months, mismatched front and rear diffs, lol. I think that’s a little steep for a roller…. I like that 78 C30 in Espanola though, somebody should pick that up.

Nice on both counts, that 77 looks like a good starting point, looks like the climate has been relatively kind to it, could be much worse, like say abandoned in a warehouse in Toledo, Ohio for 20 years. Joking aside, that retainer on the hubcap is something I’ve never seen before. Is that...

Greetings and seeking advice from San Diego!

That was a good read, I'm just old enough to remember the tail end of the farm crisis, we weren't nearly as bad off as that family but I can definitely sympathize with running old worn out equipment, terrible fencing, paint-free buildings, etc.

Update: Finished replacement of the kingpin bushing and springs driver's side looked pretty okay, but passenger side spring was short more than 1/4", probably closer to 1/2"...bushing was twisted a little as well. Put it back together and drove it, no problems. Not done yet though, still going...

I should be more precise in my language then......I don't feel any brake vibration/pedal feedback, steering is usually great, no vibration though the wheel that would suggest an unbalanced tire. Though, as others have pointed out, this doesn't necessarily eliminate these factors. I do get a...

This is probably a bad idea, but I'm too cheap to pay for a tow.

In high school a buddy of mine bought an 85 Parisienne that had been sitting for a while for $50. He had about 1.5hrs of southeastern Ohio hills to get it home.....transmission wasn't up to the task, I think he had 1st but that was about it. His brother was tailing him in is ragged out (92 or...

Okay I have new bushings and spring on order, new stabilizer on ( just to get it more drivable and needed to be done anyway). Seems like a few people have had rotor issues that weren’t apparent under all breaking issues, so I’ll be checking on those as well as alignment. I like that rig a...
