This came out of the window switch. HELP

You can buy new pigtails direct from lmc truck. If your pigtails are in the condition that this type of thing can occur it might be worth just replacing them. I think they are like 10-15 dollars each. Takes about an hour to swap them out

Best Spent $$ for Square Restoration

My 2 cents on restoring, is don't buy everything in one go. I've been in the middle of a restoration for several years at this point and I've bought multiple of several things because I can't find what I originally purchased. So even though it may cost slightly more in the long run, buying...

I have no power to anything in the cab

You probably blew your fusible links. All power for the cab in stock wiring comes from the battery voltage lug of the starter. You should have a big 4 or 6 AWG wire running directly from the battery to the starter. Connected in the same place on the starter will be 2 smaller red wires (10 AWG?)...

What is this thing, and other questions

I just bought new pigtails from LMC. Seem well constructed, and were way nicer than messing with the 30+ year old ends. Worth the $10 a pop just for ease and that they fit way nicer than the old ones did. https://www.lmctruck.com/1973-87-chevy-gmc/door-glass-parts/cc-1977-87-power-window-components

    vent windows

I pried primarily on the part of the frame that holds the glass. The gap seems to originate from a tweaked pivot joint. The little arm that holds the pivot rivet translates into a lot of movement in the window location if it gets tweaked. The goal if you have a gap is to try and tweak that...

    vent windows

Just a note for some people on this issue. I had the same problem after rebuilding my vent windows. Couldn't figure out where the gap was coming from with all the seals sitting nice and the pivot rivet installed. I called precision (I used their seals) and spoke to someone in their vent window...

    31 gallon tank conversion pictures

Do you have a fleetside bed on this or a flatbed? Interested in what you did for filler neck routing

    I'm baffled. Relay issue.

Yeah my guess is a compromised ground or 12v signal wire. When you close the connection for the coil it can't handle the load but still shows 12v to a multimeter. To confirm this run a jumper 12v wire direct from the battery and another jumper wire direct to ground

1986 GMC C2500 Choke Light/Factory Oil Pressure Gauge

Hello. I ran into a similar issue a while ago. I went the route you did and put a T fitting in at the back of the intake and had the sender and the sensor. I was unable to find a factory equivalent and cobbled something together with fittings I found at menards. It took a couple attempts to find...

    Bed liner yes or no

If you can get a quality spray-in bedliner similar to how it comes from the factory on the new trucks, it is worth it IMO. I have a 2018 pickup with a factory spray bedliner and it takes a beating. Takes scratches super well and is really thick and grippy for shoes. I have not managed to go...

Power door locks - replacing actuator

I can't speak for the inside connection, as I took mine apart a while ago and don't remember exactly how they go. This picture shows where on the door shell the actuator bolts to.

    Gear Indacator for Overdrive trans

I'd just buy a new one from LMC. I bought one not too long ago to replace a broken one and it seemed identical to the original at a pretty reasonable price. https://www.lmctruck.com/1973-87-chevy-gmc/cc-1973-87-steering-components

Any ideas on what my options would be here? Put a sealant under the edge of the seal?

    Driver kick panel trim options

Gotcha thanks. Guess I'll just have to keep an eye out for one used.

    Windshield seal gap

Is a gap like this normal at the corner of the windshield? This is a new seal and lock strip on an old windshield. Not sure if it leaks since the build is still in progress and it hasn't seen any weather.

    Driver kick panel trim options

So I have a non-AC cab with the two fresh air vents in the kick panels. I'm looking for a "silverado" kick panel trim that covers the entire kick panel and has the fixture for the fresh air valve controls. I currently have trim with the air valve controls but it isn't full height and I have a...

Places to offroad in Upper Midwest

I've never been, but Drummond Island in the Upper Peninsula is an awesome off-road spot from what I've seen of other people's travels. Trails of all difficulties too, stock to crazy modified.

DIY Junkyard Wiper Motor and Intermittent Module Retrofit/Upgrade

Great project! I'm curious to see what you do to connect the linkage to the motor since it doesn't appear to sit as deep into the cowl as the old motor.

    pic or description separate pws/pdls

The switch has straight pins that come out of it that the wire connector slides over. They can be a bit of a bear to separate. Just work the connector back and forth and it should eventually slide off.

    Removing Trans and T-Case

As long as you aren't a super scrawny guy and this is a 208 tcase, you don't need a jack to pull it off. When all 6 bolts are removed holding the case to the adapter it will still hang up there on the input shaft. Get a good grip on it and you can slide it off and lift it to the ground. With it...

    Floor Pan Insulation

My truck hasn't really been road worthy since I finished installing it, but I went with a similar product just Noico branded. Also installed their foam sound deadener over that. Noico is nice as it has a distinct diamond pattern on the back that is easy to tell when it has been installed...

    Two Connections - What for?

Choke is single wire with 12v on it. However, on many factory setups that single wire is routed through the oil pressure switch so that the 12v only gets passed to the choke (and thus opening it) if there is oil pressure.

    Two Connections - What for?

So those wires have to do with the 700R4 tcc lock-up. The white 4 pin connector plugs in to the "top" of the transmission pan on the driver's side. The red 2 pin connector is for the EGR solenoid. Essentially how the lock-up system wiring works is the transmission's hydraulic line pressure...

Need help with Parking Brake cable routing on my 84 K20

I've spent some time replacing my ebrake hardware and I referenced this exploded diagram on LMC a lot. Hopefully the kit from Inline tube has everything you need. If it doesn't, LMC had every part including the little plastic bushings.
