Fuel Valve replacement (I made it worse)

Went through similar issues a couple years ago. Intermittent. Replaced the valve, twice. Turned out to be a bad switch. On the gauge readings, 3 o'clock means grounded out, 9 o'clock means open circuit.

    69 GMC C-15

Just painted some ralleys and mounted a set of tires on my 70 C10 project. Adapted a squarebody bench seat into it too so it is starting to look like a truck again. Thanks for the inspiration.

    55 Chevy Step Side 3100

You did just fine at that price, especially if you were able to get a title for it. The days of sub 1k classic projects are long past. I paid $450 for my 50 F1, and similar ones now are in the $3-5k range.

82 k1500 lost all forward gears no warning signs at all

TH350 is the same as a turbo 350, just different way of saying it. The 4L60e should need an electronic control module to make it work, so not a straight bolt in.

    Front Drum to Disc Conversion

It had been sitting at a farm for several years. Owner passed and family sold it to me. Got it running on starting fluid, so bought it for $500. Bypassed a locked up front brake, and drove it Roadkill style with no front sheetmetal, battery bungeed to the front frame, and running off a gas can...

    Front Drum to Disc Conversion

On my 70 C20, I picked up a 1984 c10 parts truck and just swapped the entire front crossmember (a c20 would work the same). Any squarebody C10 or C20 would work. It's like 12 bolts, disconnect the steering, and drop.the entire front suspension out. Sometimes you have to open up one hole on...

I believe Vince left this board quite a while ago. Unfortunately.

Thoughts on going down to 37s?

I'd do.it. I can't see 2 5" in total height being that noticeable. Will give you better clearance for turning and suspension cycling as a bonus too.

    Venture a guess…

When I got my square, there were 3 toggles . It used to be a diesel that was converted to gas. They were used for ignition and momentary start.

    Venture a guess…

Could be anything. Best bet is to start tracing wires and see where they go.

Gas gage reads over F when hooked up to the printed ciruit but below E when hard wired to the tank/power/ground

3 o'clock indicates an open circuit, where 9 o'clock indicates grounded out.

    Dash differences

It will physically fit, but usually the wiring connector will need to be repinned to work with your harness. When I put an 84 harness into my 83 cluster, I found the wiring harness pin out diagrams , on this site iirc, and repinned it.

    Fuel Gauge Issue

You can test the sender with an ohm meter. Pos to.the stud in the sender, neg to the body. Moving the float arm should give you a varying reading, I think from 0-90. If the sender is working, I would try replacing the wires. Gauge reading at 3 o'clock means an open circuit. 9 o'clock...

    Fuel gauge reading past full

I may be wrong, but I believe 3 o'clock is an open circuit, while 9 o'clock is grounded out.

Oil pan leak rear of engine

Mine had a horrendous leak at the oil pressure sending unit near the distributor when I got it. Ruined the clutch disc.

How much for my old bed?

I guess we are fortunate in the PNW. You can routinely get a straight, rust-free lwb for $3-400. I got mine about 4 yrs ago for $175.

Back yet again with an electrical problem

I would try jumping the starter solenoid. That should narrow it down to a bad starter or the wiring going to it. On the clutch, when I replaced my clutch master, I had to pull the whole system out and bleed it on a bench ti get all the air out

Do not buy a cheap generic Edelbrock rebuild kit

I have had good luck with the Walker kits. I've done several and haven't had any issues. Generally $25-30.

    Dual Tank Switch Problem

Usually, the gauge pegged past full is an indicator of an open circuit.
