This nova was 3 on the tree but the shift mechanism in the column was junk so i swapped it for a mid 80's s10 t5. My old blue nova i had last year it was a 78 4dr 250 with a T5 swap and a 2.56 rear it had 26'' tall tires it turned 2500 at 95 mph but that overdrive was useless unless i was going faster than 85 the final ratio in OD was .80. It felt like a century getting it to 85 with that tired 6 cyl in it.- jake wells

My friend got his truck to 109 on I-65 in his square it is a gutless wonder around town with a peg legger rear. 79 C10 305 2bbl sm465 2:73 rear on 29 inch tires.- jake wells

High output alternator
If you are going to be running that kind of set up i recommend the big 3 or 4 set up. That and replacing chassis / body ground straps with #4 welding cable. Replacing some of wiring with heavy gauge wire will help with voltage sag and provide better starting and charging as well. @HotRodPC do...- jake wells

with my square i don't recommend going over 65 but it will do 90 that is the fastest i have gone but it will roast the tires on take off. stock 350 ls9 stock th350 3:73 30 inch tall tires.- jake wells
