    TH 350 shift issues

Thanks for the input. The fluid is good and there are no apparent kinks in the lines. Adjustment with the modulator screws doesn't seem to affect the issue either way. There isn’t a leak on the line.

    TH 350 shift issues

shifting issue with TH350-Shifts great until it gets warmed up and then intermittently will shift down into lower gear or not shift up after a stop. I had a rebuild on it about 2500 miles ago and returned to the transmission shop, had it checked and they say it’s working fine. I recently...

    AFR Gauge Confusion

Trying to set up an Edelbrock 1906 on 1977 GMC with 350 (all stock) and confused about what AFR gauge is telling me. At idle (750 rpm) it reads anywhere from 12-12.6. At cruising, (1800 rpm @ 60mph) it reads 14.2-15.0. I have not been able to get close to 14.6 at idle by changing rods in the...

    Help identifying wheels

Picked up these wheels for a possible change over on my 1977 GMC C15 but now not sure I’ll make the change. They are 15x7, 5x5 with a 4.5” backspace and came with beauty rings. I am wondering if anyone can provide information on what the original application would have been for them. I was told...

    Brake Warning Light GMC C15

I appreciate the responses. No switch on the e-brake on a 1977 so think that doesn’t figure into it. My understanding is that when the ignition is in the on position or when starting the engine, the light should light up as a bulb check and then go off after engine is running. I get no light in...

    Brake Warning Light GMC C15

Recently noticed the brake warning light on the dash of my 1977 GMC C15 did not light up when engaging key in on position. After reading other threads, I was able to activate the light by removing the wire from the proportioning switch and grounding it, which if I understand it right...

    TH 350 shift issues

Symptoms - nice smooth shift from 1-2 at what I would consider normal RPM (no tach available so not sure of exact). Shift from 2-3 occurs about 1/4 of the time and at all other times, the RPMs are high and no shift. I can sometimes get a shift by backing off the gas and then reapplying throttle...

    TH 350 shift issues

I have reviewed several posts on this issue and have found them to be a great value - unfortunately I still am having an issue with the 2-3 shift on my 1977 GMC heavy half 2wd pickup (1-2 shift is good). A little background- I recently finished a 1 year rebuild of the truck but did not touch the...

    '77 GMC Electrical Issues

Bebuilding my '77 GMC pickup and pulled the old wiring harness (painless wiring #10205) from the cab and installed it in the new cab. I didn't add any extras and used the components (steering wheel, switches, etc) from the old cab. When I tighten the wiring module to the fuse block under the...

    Dash Panel

Beginning restoration of 1977 GMC 1/2 ton with a cab off a wreck. Cab is in decent shape but part of the metal dash panel has been cut out because of the wreck. Question-any suggestions on locating one or how hard would it be to remove one in a cab at a salvage yard?
