    that is a 88 and up hydro bell housing for the sm465 not very common only used for a few years. but rare does not mean its highly sought after most people would go for the nv4500 not the sm465 in that body style. to use it in a square body you have to have at least 6'' lift or the front drive...

    I just put 80w90 in my 2007 with a g80 locker I saw a thing from gm saying axles with that locker sometimes chatter in turns due to contaminated oil. it said to drain and refill with 80-90. I fill all my axles with 80-90 unless it is a posi that needs the friction modifier stuff

    ok maybe that was not as funny as I thought. but for real I would be lost with out that truck. I use it for a lot of things lifting and moving parts as well as complete trucks. it works great for putting lift kits on and much more.

    ya people get caught up in the bigger is better thing I would be happy with a 4.8 they are tiny but still put out 310 horse that's more than enough for a little blazer. and it would probably get better mileage than the 4.3.

    the barn door blazer just got a freshened up vortec 350 being swapped to tbi and a fresh 700r4. really they all already have good 350s. if I put it in any of the trucks I have a 4l80 to go with it but if it goes in the Camaro I have a super t10 4 speed for that. kinda thinking the 71 or the 63
