    I put a 4l80/205 in my 90 crew in my 90 crew cab build thread I have info on how to convert the 4l80 to bolt a 205 to it and how to put a vss in a 205 I rebuilt my 4l80 and updated it with a transgo hd2 shift kit and some other goodies.

    I just did a quick search on ebay there are rebuilt 4l80's listed cheaper than that with free shipping. I would not pay over 500 for a used tranny any more than that you might as well just get a rebuilt one.

    Vortec with TBI?

    I was going to put a 99 vortec 350 in my barn door blazer but I picked up a 5.3 instead. I bought a carbed intake and a tbi adapter to bolt a tbi to the intake and I was going to have a custom chip done to delete the egr but the 5.3 will take its place and the 350 will find a new home later

    the only thing that can slip in a manual transmission is the clutch. if you felt it slip I would check the clutch.

    nv4500 to np208

    I have not bolted it up yet but I have a 85 and up round pattern 205 that I believe will bolt to a nv4500 as well. I think only a shifter bracket will be needed for that.

    I am 99 percent sure that is correct but it is not really an adapter it is the rear of the tranny for a 4x4
