    Mad max starter?

The previous owner of my truck just spliced (VERY poorly) a switch in line with the purple wire coming out of the firewall. I believe its the IGN wire going to the starter. The switch is located in a safe spot under the hood where only I know it is. Aint nobody starting that thing if the switch...

    Anti theft?

Previous owner spliced in a simple toggle switch to the IGN circuit of the distributor. The switch is in a... hidden location outside the cab. Good luck bypassing that if you don't know where it is!

What is this under the dash?

Damn... So I guess I can't just cut it all out then huh... Damn thing is horribly in the way of getting to the booster nuts. I guess I'll just have to hang it all to one side while I'm working on it. Thanks guys!

What is this under the dash?

I'm trying to get to the bottom of what these black boxes/relays are under the dash. The reason is they are severely in the way of getting to the nuts for the hydroboost, and I'll be tackling that possibly this weekend. The arrow points to the whole mess on the right side of this picture...

I wish I had this. In my blazer lol.

I'm thinking you could probably get that kinds of HP in your blazer without spending $3700... Leave that thing to one of the "numbers-matching" knuckleheads out there. You know - the guys that get butt-hurt over a bolt being the wrong shade of grey.

This guy just popped up in Charlotte, NC

    key buzzer switch

You have a key buzzer? Such a thing existed on these trucks?

What have you done to your square lately??

Just crossed the fabled 150k mark. I'm pretty sure it's still on the original motor and trans. Runs like a champ hot or cold and shifts pretty good too. Hell my 99 Doge ran worse than this after 150k miles, even with a reman engine in it!

    Bent wiper

Well I futsed with it this morning, even though my momma told me that kind of thing would make me go blind. Seems to be working again. I guess it don't take much to get one of them things out of whack. Glad its back in working order again.

    Bent wiper

I can get one later today. I'm assuming that the arm is bent because it suddenly started doing this after I gave the old girl a long needed wash/wax. When I swapped a different wiper blade (known good from the pass side) onto the driver's arm the problem persisted - leading me to believe there...

    Bent wiper

So I've got a bent wiper arm. And no jokes either... Only the lower half of any wiper blade I put on it will now wipe the windshield. This started after washing the truck, and probably getting a little rough with the arm. ...Damn the jokes keep getting better... and is getting real annoying...

water leak both sides, firewall/cowl areas

I've also had water come in from those areas through the seam in the bottom of the cowl. It leaks down between the metal layers and enters around various bolt holes - especially those for the brake booster/pedal assembly. That was a funky one to track down believe me.

    Gunky Master Cylinder?

So I've been chasing my tail for the last couple of years on my hydro brakes. The hydroboost leaks pretty good, but that's not the end of the world. What I'm confused about is why I keep getting gunk in the master cylinder. I replaced it maybe 2.5 years ago and within 6 months it looked...

1990 Chevy 3500 Silverado Crew Cab Parts Truck

Man if only you were closer. I've been wanting a set of those running boards forever. I bet trying to get them down here to FL would be insane! Now that I see them I wouldnt mind the mirrors either. My set are ok at best.

    Water pump failure destroys radiator

Man thats pretty cool. I still want to do that upgrade some day. Too bad the parts are just so hard to come by. NOBODY parts squares down here in FL anymore. They just aren't around.

Made in USA parts at Autozone

I picked up a set of brake shoes from AZ for my Durango, and while the first set were wrong (not entirely sure how but they were) the second set were fine, and they were made in USA! Not bad huh?

    Dual tank 87

Try bypassing the valve and go straight to one tank. See if that fixes your problem. Actually, the rev-up part actually makes me think you have a weak fuel pump.

Make one yourself? Its not that hard. Or you could find one for sale and modify it to fit a winch.

    Water on floor

Glad to hear you fixed your leak. I ran into another one that bugged me for a couple weeks over on the passenger side. Same spot. Pissed me off too. It was the biggest reason why I got the truck out of the way of Hurricane Mathew, I didn't want to come back to a swamp on top of my nice nice new...

    New ACC Carpet

I ordered the ACC carpet from Rockauto. It was not nearly as nice as that pictured. It just felt... thinner. Like they had not used enough plush or something. It was ok carpet overall and fit well. It did also have two rubbed-thin spots. But I dealt with it. It looks good installed and covered...
