who do y'all like for oem type leather/cloth replacement?

I'd just look up your local interior/upholstery shop first. They will likely have a better line on the right materials. I know some companies sell new seat covers that are close to OEM, but they are so expensive you might as well get a local to do it. I'd at least start there.

Looking for info on dealer installed air

I've run into that kind of thing before when I try to charge using the parts store freon cans. It always comes out wrong. It's because the cans only deal with one side of the system. When you look at the pros and how they charge an A/C system, you should notice that they use 2 gauges with...

Plasti dip removal / whire paint trim advice

It sure as shit does. I can't afford paint on my Camaro so I'm plastidipping it. Don't judge me I noticed my front bumper was starting to look a little faded, so I broke out the armorall and gave it a good spray down. Looks pretty good now! Felt kind funny armoralling the outside of the car...

Have you tested your gauges to make sure they work? Checked fuses and wiring etc?

    Performance Online Front Shock Relocators

Well that's bogus. So they advertise it to be a direct bolt-on and its all wrong? How much did you pay for them?

How do I know which carrier bearing to get?

I picked up a nasty vibration after I did my TH400 rebuild - and it's obvious that its coming from the driveshaft. Looks like I need a new carrier bearing and probably a balance job too. My problem now is I can't figure out which carrier bearing/center support I need. There seems to be a dozen...

    Leaf Spring Bushings

There have been discussions on this subject for a long long time. In performance use, poly is NOT the answer - but for the life of me I can't remember the reasoning. Delrin is the preferred material in all locations except sway bars, where poly is fine. I went with delrin in most locations on...

GMT800 NBS seats in a Square Body....

Did you have to modify the brackets to get the seats in your square? You make it sounds like it was a direct swap!

    Seat Cover is Next

Seat covers for bench seats are getting hard to come by. Gone are the days when every parts store had a dozen options in all colors and styles. I'm looking for a decent option myself, and have yet to find one. At least without spending $200 on a custom fit job.

    Bvllsh!t on craigslist.

I actually sold a guy a 6.2 J-code that he was going to use as an extra engine. He already had another one in a 94 Camaro. Said it fit like a glove and gave him like 40mpg. It was a crazy thing to see. Damn thing looked factory!

    Fuel tank vent

No problem. It works well on my Camaro. I'm not sure how well it would work on your truck, especially because yours is EFI, but I would think it would be ok. For the price its worth a try!

    Fuel tank vent

I used a small charcoal can designed for vacuum brake lines on my Camaro. I just plumbed the vent line to the inlet side, ran a loop and tucked it up on the frame rail. No fumes whatsoever sitting in my garage! https://www.amazon.com/gp/product/B000COCXLS/ref=oh_aui_search_detailpage?ie=UTF8&psc=1

    Upgrading Your Blower Motor

So I did a little looking around RockAuto to see what blowers cross-reference across models and what I discovered is that... the blower for an 86 C30 (like mine) is the exact same part as the one used on a 97 k2500. Same part numbers. So, at least for my 86, I am already using the "upgraded"...

    Bvllsh!t on craigslist.

It is if you pull a 454 out of an old RV out in the woods behind an old bar and drop it in! Lets just say 1/4 throttle roasts tires! You damn right! I like me a BBC, and I mean the Chevy kind!

    th 400 torque convertor

RockAuto has the best price for a stock replacement converter. I think it was like $60 after core return. Dacco was the brand. I have one in mine. Installed about a month ago. No complaints so far.

    Seat Covers

It definitely seems like you either get crappy quality saddle blanket covers, or you spend $200+ on facy-ass custom covers. Where did the old-school $40 seat cover go???

    Seat Covers

Holy canoley. They work, but for $250 I'd just take it to a reupholster guy. Personally I was looking for a decent $30-50 cover. I was actually thinking this one...

    Well I'm phukd. Th400 lost 3rd

Well that's a whole week of daily driving with zero issues. Fluid is still at the same level and looks/smells good. Trans is shifting well (other than the stupid WoT 1-2 issue). I cannot complain one bit on this rebuild. I think we have success!!!
