Is anyone still running full time 4WD?

I might be interested in selling the Offroad Marketing shaft conversion I am taking out if you are interested.

    Offroad Marketing Part Time Kit?

Thanks. I recall seeing a post somewhere on the web that spoke of this IP theft. I seem to recall the post being written by either one of the brothers or someone very close to them. I can't seem to find the post anymore. I am moving forward with converting it back to full-time, at least for a...

    Brake line kits

Also, should have mentioned. I have found it much easier to just open their online catalog and go to the page(s) for your specific vehicle to view the various brake/fuel/trans lines. Then just print that page and manually enter the part numbers to order.

    Brake line kits

I have found Inline Tube to be the best and the lowest cost. Besides brake lines they also have trans cooler & fuel lines. They generally stock both OE steel and stainless steel. https://www.inlinetube.com/...

    Are these air injection pipes?

I can't tell if the original 400 had an air injector because that engine is long since gone. It was replaced at some point in the trucks history by another SB Chevy. Does anyone have a picture (or can you take a picture) of this area of your truck?

Not All Oil Priming Tools Are Crated Equal

Negative, they were quite careful to not implicate the manufacturer of the cheapo unit

    Are these air injection pipes?

Starting to lay the new brake & fuel lines into the restored chassis. I took a ton of pics during the teardown process. Saw the pipes in the red circles and I cannot recall what these were for. I don't remember disconnecting them, but that was a while ago and i had some help along the way. I am...

Not All Oil Priming Tools Are Crated Equal

Interesting. There was an article covering exactly this subject in the Mar2019 edition of Hot Rod magazine. Seems there are a number of these 'cheap' primers with this issue.

Thanks everyone. I was able to secure a complete 203 diff from the guys at Offroad Design. It is on the way.

Is anyone still running full time 4WD?

Interested to fund out how many (are there any?) are still running full time 4WD? Or has everyone converted to part time?

    Offroad Marketing Part Time Kit?

Thanks for the input from everyone. New plan. I am going to move ahead with putting the 203 back into the truck, in full time 4WD form, and will replace it with a 205 after the resto is complete. This will buy me some time to deal with gathering up the 205 and associated parts for the 205 swap...

    Offroad Marketing Part Time Kit?

OK, one more fun tidbit I also found by searching on the inventors names. Seems they sued Mile Marker for patent infringement and lost. So it would seem they invented this type of part time conversion, but felt it was stolen by MileMarker (or Skyjacker). Interesting...

    Offroad Marketing Part Time Kit?

Sorry, my mistake and typo. The company that originally patented this kit was Offroad Marketing corp. The picture in the patent matches my part(s) exactly (fig 5) - Seems the inventors were Karol & Teddy Vanzant. Here is a link to the patent - https://patents.google.com/patent/US4304317

    Offroad Marketing Part Time Kit?

Tore into the NP203 for a rebuild. Was expecting 100% stock because that was what the PO told me, which at the time seemed odd. There were manual locking hubs installed and he told me he did this to save MPG back in the 80's. I asked if the transfer case was converted at the same time - he said...

    Parking brake cable routing

Ted - thanks for taking the time to snap the pics. I went ahead and ordered the #10 part from LMC along with the 2 - #9s. It was only a few bucks so I just ordered it. Will see if I can figure out which holes are which...

Rear Park Brake Cable Too Short w/4inch Lift?

OK, got another challenge with this 77 K10 resto. Installed a 4 inch Tuff Country lift with new EZ ride springs front and back. And now the rear park brake cable that goes between the drum backing plate and the frame bracket is too short. Tuff Country tells me they've never experienced this...

    Parking brake cable routing

Wondering if someone has any pics of their parking brake cables. I have a 1977 K10 that came to me without the intermediate cable. Looking at the LMC catalog it is not clear what I need or where to attach the cable guides. In the pic below they indicate I need two of item 9 (LH & RH cable...

Shift Linkage Frame Brkt Bushing Source

I am looking for a new bushing for the automatic trans shift linkage bracket that mounts on the frame. This is for a 77 K10. Here's a pic of the bracket and bushing (from eBay). Looking for a new one. Does anyone know of a source?

    Front sway bar bushing replacement

Has anyone found an easy way to replace the bushings on the front sway bar on these trucks? I am not talking about the center (fwd) 2 bushings that the bar pivots on. Those are easy. I am talking about the 2 that are press fit into the ends where the bar is bolted into the leaf spring brackets...

    Inexpensive drive flange Dana 44

Thanks Boonie, I did see those. How do the chrome caps attach to the hub? Are they just press fit/hammered into the hubs?

    Inexpensive drive flange Dana 44

I am converting a 77 K10 back to stock full time 4x4. The PO removed the original drive slugs and replaced them with locking hubs, which are now rusted & shot. Does anyone make an inexpensive drive flange or slug for these axles? So far all I can find are heavy duty off road/racing/rock climbing...

Manual hubs on 203 without part time conversion

I need to buy new hubs regardless. The current ones are totally shot, can't rotate them lock/unlock. Truck sat outside in a field for many years

Manual hubs on 203 without part time conversion

Thanks for the quick replies. At this point I am seriously considering just taking it back to stock setup (full time 4x4 like from the factory). Fuel savings, whatever that may or may not actually be, is really not a concern. Once restored this truck won't be a daily driver nor driven hard off...

Manual hubs on 203 without part time conversion

Hi, 1st post. Purchased 77 K10 that I am doing a frame off resto on. Found out from original owner that manual locking hubs were installed to save on fuel, but no conversion was done to the NP203. He would just run the TC in high-lock to achieve 2WD (RWD) high for normal use. I have read this...
