    Cruise control wiring connection

You were right it was white and at the bottom of the column i just didnt look far back enough. I didnt pay attention to the 2 wire colors because I was so excited I found it hahaha. If you look at the connector it doesnt even look correct as the flat male connector goes sideways into it and...

    steering wheel too tight

Ok I figured it out, once again we can be doomed by the last person to own our trucks. The guy had the inner bearing backwards and the front race on the rear bearing causing a clearance issue . The problem was no one showed the orientation of either bearing. Now its tight and together...

    steering wheel too tight

Well i must have screwed something up LOL. I went after the 4 tilt wheel bolts on my 82 suburban and now after assembly the steering wheel is hard to turn aagggghhhhhhh. It seems to be easy enough to turn before I install the lock plate and the clip on the shaft. Idk what I did wrong because...

    Engine fan

I have the 700r4 and it shifts pretty sloppy and basically slides into gear lol. I used my dial back timing light and it was set at 40 initial, I revved it up from there and it went up but I wasnt too worried about how high the timing went because it didnt seem to ping and I knew i was going to...

    Engine fan

Thank you! Hopefully I can find the proper clutch I ordered the 18 inch from Summit I'm sure it'll be ok until I find a better option. I got 10.54 might with the first tank, found out the timing was set on 40 initial I set it to 11. What's funny is it started right up and ran fine lol

    83 suburban springs

Thanks for the replies, it looks like some new hoses at least are in order. I just measured and I came up with 58 lol so it must be the 56 inch springs. Now to start spraying the bushing bolts ahead of time and see if i get lucky.

    83 suburban springs

Thanks, I have to measure the springs tomorrow and get my plan, I have a couple different ball joint presses, torch and air chisels so maybe ill just add a block and replace the bushings here and spend my money on the front springs. Do you think with a 2.5 front lift i will run into steering...

    83 suburban tailgate bolt

Hi My 83 suburban tailgate opener has a broken bolt and idk where to find it. Its the one that seems to hold and center the arms for the latch so they open evenly from both sides. I was trying to loosen it so I could adjust it for wear and lo and behold IT WAS LEFT HAND THREAD, well of course...

    83 suburban springs

Thanks, I couldnt find the rpo list in the glove box so I have no idea what this thing was built with but I can say I think the springs are all stock because the bushings are shot enough to have a clunk when you give it gas to take off. I would love to keep the springs but it kinda makes sense...

Thanks for the info, I checked it out really good this afternoon and the rear has 7+1 springs. Any idea what the gvw would be with those? I also got lucky (i think lol) and someone added rear disc, it looks like the kit from lugnut4x4 and it has longer braided brake hoses already there. The...
