    No Spark, No clue...

I know it is ignition related. I am getting no spark at the plug. I am getting good voltage to the Bat terminal on the HEI distributor. I am getting fuel. I've never had a fuel problem that just totally shut down the engine like you turned it off with the key. But I'm sure there is a first time...

    No Spark, No clue...

1981 C10 305 Type H with ESC About a week ago my truck didn't start. Figured I just flooded it so I came back a few hours later and it fired up. Problem solved or so I thought. Since the truck is somewhat new to me and with not much maintenance history, I decided to do a tune up. I replaced...

    What is this?

Problem solved, I just Glue'd the nipple back on. But to answer your question, it has 4 nipples total and with various T's and such they go everywhere. To the distributor, to the carb, to some diaphragm on the the carb. It's the orange one. I would like to know what it is and do I really need...

    What is this?

From memory there are 3 possibly 4 vacuum lines attached and like I said, it's located on the thermostat housing and is the only solenoid.

    What is this?

Circled in Yellow One of the nipples broke off the other day. Several vacuum lines go to it. Looks like it's threaded into the thermostat housing. 1981 C-10 305 Thanks, Tad

    1981 C10 305 Power Steering-Compressor Bracket(s)

I purchased a Classic Auto Air Compressor upgrade kit for my truck. Their part #23-257. Now I can't seem to figure out how to mount, the supplied brackets don't match up with the power steering pump brackets which incorporate the factory compressor brackets. The supplied bracket are from Alan...

    Engine Timing 305

The rotor needs to be pointing at the #1 spark plug lead where ever that should be if it's really on TDC. My guess is someone took the distributor out at some point and perhaps reinstalled a tooth off. That's why you can't rotate enough to retard.

    LMC Grille

Recently purchased their premium grille for my '81 single headlight and was impressed with the quality. My guess is it's not made in China.

    Hello from Alabama

Just purchased a 1981 C10 Scottsdale long wheelbase with 76k miles. Other than a paint change, this truck is pretty darn original. Runs great. Not a truck guy but needed something to haul stuff around. I do like my vehicles looking good and running well so I'm trying to learn everything I can...
