    SOB’s Trailer Thieves !!!

When I was 46 maybe but going on 66 I need a less physically demanding solution.

    SOB’s Trailer Thieves !!!

Just as a heads up sort of thing. Some trailers are stolen quickly even with coupler locks. The thieves simply twist the safety chains until they can hook them in and be short enough to not allow the trailer jack to drag and off they go. It’s ugly but it gets them out of the immediate area until...

    SOB’s Trailer Thieves !!!

Your right though, I bought the trailer to haul a $10k zero turn mower, which was luckily in the garage.

    SOB’s Trailer Thieves !!!

I’m definitely adding some security measures, but I think your suggestion is only for keeping honest people honest. Those things would barely slow down the thieves around here. Sheriffs dept said that stealing trailers is a growth industry and almost a daily occurrence.

    SOB’s Trailer Thieves !!!

Tried to steal my trailer this morning. Drove right up in my driveway, hooked up and took off. Dumb assholes left the pin out of their hitch (why???) and the trailer jack hit the drive way pulling their hitch out of their receiver and the trailer went tongue first into a dirt bank across the...

    Vacuum leak

for the last two years the square has sat a lot. It has never been a good smooth running truck since I’ve had it, going on 8 years now, but I haven’t invested much time in it either. Recently I’ve have the need to use it a little and the first thing was to get the dragging front brakes repaired...

    1/2 done

Other side done, good to have working brakes again even though I seldom drive the truck. More work to come.

    1/2 done

Putting new calipers, hoses, and pads on my 85. Got the passenger side on this afternoon and must say that hose was a b*t#h. For anyone who hasn’t tackled this in a while, the hose is held to the frame by a 15/16th nut on the inside of the frame. Of course this is only important after you have...

    99 taco 4x4

You are really committed to getting your Taco in shape! I’m impressed with your progress in such a short time. I guess you are daily driving it while you make your improvements?

Too bad about the Catalina but probably the smart move.

Well crap! Wife in a Car Accident.

Well it’s back home. Not perfect probably, but close.

Too many? I have one or two other options

Not short enough, they’re just two. Rentals are outrageous too. My son upgraded to a much larger house when the boys were born and kept his first house and rented it out. I really don’t want to pay for taxes, insurance and upkeep on a home I barely live in and pay rent too. To clarify the...

Too many? I have one or two other options

For a few more years, until preschool at least, we will be primary daycare providers for the grandkids. Drive times for rush hour to drop off and pick up kids can really add up so we are looking as close as possible to them. They are on the Winchester side of Lexington so we have looked for...

Too many? I have one or two other options

Blessing or curse? I have a lot of vehicles I am emotionally tied to that most normal people could care less about. There are a lot of other priorities in life that come before the vehicles but I still hang on too them like they are gold. My Chevelle is the car I’ve had the longest and needs the...

    RPO J55

I purchased new hoses for the the front brakes and boy is this going to be a job! The flair nut on the hard line is inside the C formed by the frame rail. I can barely get my hand in there to put the wrench on it and then I discovered I didn’t have the right size. I know I have one as I used it...

What is your daily if not square body?

Thanks for making the effort, love the C2’s. Be sure to post some more pics when you can.

Thanks guys. I decided to go ahead and pull off the calipers so I can take them in with me to hopefully get the correct replacements. I didn’t get a good vibe when I went to the parts stores checking on price and availability.

My 85 C10 has the above “heavy duty brakes”. What I’m wondering is, how do these differ parts wise? My front calipers are dragging and I’m going to replace them and the hoses.

What is your daily if not square body?

I would think the three on the tree would put it in the rare category. Baring some catastrophic event I bet the motor can be unstuck.

What have you done to your square lately??

Even though they provided a good measure of protection over the years it looks better to me with the running boards gone. Bed cap will eventually go I suppose but it has added a lot of protection too.

What have you done to your square lately??

Major change to the 85 today. After 28 years it was time to take the running boards off. My dad put them on when he first got the truck so my grandmother could get in and out easier. They had been on so long I almost didn’t notice them any more. Lots of dirt in my face and a lot of broken bolts...
