    Thanks! Its the last hard part for my nv4500 swap and its in the bag! All in under a week, lol. I found a column yesterday at a yard for 25 bucks, i snatched it up right quick!

    I would go np241c but the castings are thin and are a chain drive and not gear to gear, plus in some cases they are even harder to find than the late model 205s. Most 241s are drivers side drop.

    Thats really cool and defiantly something I will be looking into! I really dont want that to be my weak link and its only 125 bucks so you really cant so no, plus it will make your truck virtually bombproof....

    Hey all! I want this transfer case, its a 6 bolt housing Np205 I found locally but i think the listed price is too high, whats it worth? It looks like its been spray-bombed for camera but quite frankly looks like crap.

Say I found a truck with a 205 6 bolt housing, willt he th400 or the sm465 have the short shaft? I rather avoid buying adapter kits and make it look like it belongs in the truck. And...

    As far as I know all half tons had the nv3500 and only 3/4 and 1 tons have the 4500.

    Maybe I will have better luck. I have a complete Ac system for a 1987 Gmc everything is good and was in working order with no leaks. Everything is there except the dash and gauge cluster bezel. What do you all think its worth? To buy the parts new its over 1000 bucks.

    I rather buy a used one a rebuild it myself, it wouldnt be my first manual tranny rebuild and i save near a thousand dollars, i am only 19 and am a full time college student so i dont have excessive funds to throw away on my project truck, its being kept on a budget.
