    Turn signal power?

Just tested that fuse, tested both sides , both sides are dead… as is the accessory blade directly above it.

    Turn signal power?

Back story: I put in a new steering wheel (OEM from a salvage yard) and with it a new turn signal canceling cam with wiring... Turn signals, horn worked great. One day, the turn signals just no longer worked .... it isn't the flasher.... Horn still works great - so the steering column has...

So another update. As I mentioned above, I installed an Edelbrock electric fuel pump back on the frame by the tank, in the parking lot of an Oreilly’s in Colorado Springs. It got me through the mountain passes and back home to Texas (12 hours) without issue. I have two goals: - Bring the...

I agree completely, it typically runs at over 200,but can go up a bit depending on RPM and load. If I keep it under 2250 rpm, it stays under 200, if I push it higher to say 2500 RPM, it will sit at about 210…

Thank you for the feedback. The reality is I know very little, but learn a ton from everyone on this forum… my wife’s Yukon always runs at 210… and has 373k… but I’d very much like to see my 350 run at 190 or so… As I’ve mentioned above, I’m confident much of my problems were heat/vapor...

@Bextreme04 is there an option for the return line into the tank other than ordering a new sending unit? I ask because I can switch out the fuel pump and add a return line here in the mountains... but can order and replace a new sending unit here. Thoughts?

Quick question: my oem sending unit has three ports: - a supply tube to the fuel pump - a vent tube up to the gas cap - a vent that has basically a dust cover on it. Can I connect a return line to either of the vent tubes or are the internally ’one-way’ vents? In other words, can I use my...

I changed the mechanical pump on this Blazer in the parking lot of Oreilly’s in Pueblo… the only real pain was keeping the pump rod up to slide in the pump lever…

Thank you for the detailed responses. I think my first upgrade will be adding a return line. The only question I have is what is best option for adding a return to the tank.

Just to confirm, this sounds like an easy ‘fix’…: - switch existing mechanical fuel pump with a 3 port mechanical fuel pump (what year, make vehicle would I reference at a parts store?) - run a new line back to the tank - use one of the existing vent ports in my existing tank fuel sending unit...

I few questions/thoughts from this experience: - At operating temp, my engine coolant is roughly 210 degrees... won't gas with ethanol simple turn to vapor at that temp - requiring moving from a mechanical pump to an electric pump? - I'm NOT excited about relying on an Edelbrock electric fuel...

Ok, so I did make it to Red River!!! I’m convinced the issue is vapor lock. The Blazer is running at like 210 degrees and sometimes up to 212 or 215… (It was 100 degrees driving through Pueblo this afternoon) I think flat-land driving in Texas, it was getting just enough actual fuel… pulling...

So an update, still stranded. I dropped the tank a second time… the sending unit is simply a tube with a sock on the end… , nothing there to block anything.I did go ahead and remove the sock though just to be sure. There are no vent restrictions… all clean. The last time it died, I was headed...

As far as gas flow goes, isn’t the sending unit just a pickup tube and a vent?

Quick summary: - Drove for months around my home town to work and back and out to my ranch with no problems. - Drove to Amarillo in the heat, then to Raton with no problems. - Initially only ‘stumbled’ going up hills…. Ran fine on level ground and going down hills. Then quit although. - Has...

So still stranded… thinking the new fuel line solved the issue, we took off for Red River NM, drove about 30 or so miles… died again on the side of the interstate. Opened the hood, no fuel in the new glass fuel filter. Took off the fuel hose at the carb… cranked it over… no fuel. Took off the...

Well I ran a whole new gas line from the tank to the pump and also again blew it out from the pump end. Tank is full so gas blew out everywhere. It drove like it has up until Friday. There is a pretty steep hill, maybe 2 miles long, drove it hard up and back twice. The second time I kept it in...

So quick update. Thought we had it fixed, found a section of rubber hose not replaced.., the ends were dry-rotted. Replaced it and initially it seemed to run fine, then after about 3 or 4 miles, it again died in the middle of the street. Rehooked up the gas can in the floorboard and was able to...

So more info. Hooked up a fuel pressure gauge. Cranked it, had roughly 7 psi. Ran the RPMs up to 2200 or so, fuel pressure held for 30 seconds or maybe 45 or a bit more, then the fuel pressure declined declined declined, finally to zero and it died… so clearly a supply restriction somewhere from...

Worst case scenario, could I run temporary rubber fuel line parallel with the steel line, from the tank to the fuel pump if that steel line has maybe a rusty pinhole somewhere which is allowing air?
