Big improvement, great choices. I did something similar but went with 20s, Goodyear Wranglers. I also need to make shock decision, still unsure; I like to buy sale items so I will pull the trigger when the right deal reveals itself.
Squirted some epoxy primer since it was dead calm and 70F. Might try to add two coats of high build primer in the next two days if the winds are favorable. I’ll probably use my siphon gun since the hvlp gun sucks to shoot from underneath. I’ll need to be sure I have some reducer, the epoxy...
DITTO, my dad did paint and bodywork most of his career, he worked 12 hour days for many years and weekends on his own stuff. It’s hard and dirty work; time consuming and also artistic, frustrating but rewarding. These squares are easy compared to an elongated curved panel, think chevelle. I...
With all the fuel dumped down the carb, the oil is definitely broken down and you’re washing the cylinders. I would change the oil and filter soon. Also, spending too much time and money and not progressing much isn’t healthy especially working around gasoline. I’d keep it simple, take the easy...
@Ricko1966 Mixed results for the Bauer tool. The nylon roller removes layers of paint fairly well on full speed but not as well as I expected. I had 6 different colors so probably 12-16 coats to get down to metal which was still a lot of work and time, more than I care to spend. I then tried the...
I’m really not going for shiny. Here is an interesting read, at least in my opinion. https://benklesc.medium.com/when-paint-jobs-lasted-forever-the-lost-art-of-single-stage-9f99973befaf.
A nice square pic when you get to the end.
So, one of the reasons I like to frequent this site is the wealth of knowledge by so many intelligent members. You got me thinking and second guessing my choice about the paint I plan to use. I really couldn’t find any definitive information which confirms the rustoleum tractor paint would fade...
Agree, I plan on using a UV resistant single stage paint and primer. Even then, it will fade over time if it’s not covered up or washed and waxed often. Ideally, I would love to have an expensive paint job with the best materials and I would go that direction if I had more inside storage space...
Just replaced rotors and pads because of pulsing so I thought the rotor was warped. The problem still exists and I notice the new rotor is discolored. Bad wheel bearing? Maybe caliper? I greatly appreciate your help, thank you.

Gonna hafta put your hat on upside down because every thing old dodge is backwards. Once you are in the zone, you can get some work done. Nice find for a flip, plentiful crowd follows them so you should do better than break even.
Thank you for the response Bucket. What’s confusing me is the main window channel seal. LMC calls out a one piece or two piece design based on year range. When I took it apart it looked like two pieces (73-80) but they were in rough shape so not positive; the 81-87 are one piece design. Not sure...
This was the most relevant thread I read which relates to the same issue I have. I am not sure which seals I should purchase. I believe my doors are 81-87 with single seal wing windows. Any insight would be greatly appreciated?
Brutal! Since my truck is parked and always will be parked outside, I’ve decided to not throw hard earned money away on expensive materials and skilled labor. I’m going the multi coat enamel primitive DIY route, in another 50 years it will be the highly sought after Pantene version. I already...
DA sanding the inside of the cab and cleaned up the caulk that was holding on the door weather seals. I pretty much stripped the inside which revealed really bad rust on the driver floor pan which was a result of carpet padding holding moisture. Im not happy about the extra work but that’s how...
