84 k10 distributor delay valve missing

I have mine run straight to manifold vacuum. You just need to make sure you are not getting too much advance and that it doesn't ping.

84 k10 distributor delay valve missing

It’s only purpose was to not give you vacuum advance until the motor warmed up. You can just run your vacuum line from the distributor to ported or manifold vacuum whichever you prefer.

    New to square bodies. Th400

What's the fluid level on the dipstick? It should only read full when the transmission is fully hot like 200 fluid temp. If its to the full mark when you first start the truck it will come out the vent as the fluid heats up. No idea on the ticking noise sorry.

    '87 R1500 4.3L Oil Consumption

Does it still have the catalytic convertor on the exhaust? If it does it could be filtering out the smoke so you're not seeing it. This will quickly plug it up if it is. Have you checked the antifreeze to make sure its not ending up there? a quart every 200 miles is pretty high usage. There's...

Is this on purpose or wrong part???

If you have enough threads to stick out of the end of the nut you are fine. So I was going to say it’s fine but then I looked closer and it looks like you can see light around the u bolt at the axle indicating it’s bent for the wrong diameter tube which is no good. Looks like they got it mixed...

    Rear axel issues.. I think?

When you rebuild it make sure you change the axle seals. Looks like both of yours are leaking (wet mark on the backing plate of the brakes)

    Gas leaking from filler cap!!

I'd look at your tank switching valve. Maybe its pulling fuel off the drivers side tank but returning to the passenger side tank.

Too long of a driveshaft could cause this too

    81 c10 brakes sticking

Did you replace the brake hoses? They can collapse inside and act like a check valve. To test this, press the brake pedal down and when the brakes are stuck applied open the bleeder screws to relieve the pressure.

Sometimes the new master cylinders don't come with new pressure valves and you're supposed to transfer them from your old one.

Brass Adapter, Female(3/8-24 Inverted), Male(9/16-18 Inverted), 1/card https://www.amazon.com/dp/B001NS1JL2/ref=cm_sw_r_cp_api_i_CQxMCb7GSG0HK If I’m right on that being the issue you could cut the flare off that line and add a regular tube nut with this adapter from amazon or use a line like...

    73/78 c10

Ok I’m going to try to explain what I think happened but I’m not sure if it’ll come out clear enough. From the factory it had a bigger thread (9/16”) in the front port va the rear port at 1/2” but it had a special fitting that used 3/16” diameter line with the big thread. It looks like someone...

Are both fittings the same size? Should be one bigger and one smaller thread. 9/16 and 1/2”

Is that Teflon tape around the threads? Shouldn’t be any on inverted flare fittings. If it’s leaking you can try loosening and retightening the fittings a couple times. It can help reseat the flare and stop a leak. Don’t overtighten the fitting thinking it’ll stop leaking. You can crack the...

    Brake Lines Copper or Steel

Plumbing copper yes. But there is nickel coated copper (sometimes called nicop) for sale that is dot rated. My local O’Reilly auto parts carries in in sticks right next to the steel lines. Can also get it in a big roll and make your own, it’s super easy to bend and flare. If you’re in an area...
