What have you done to your square lately??

Replaced front parking brake cable. Install aftermarket stereo us existing screws under the dash with a short body car stereo so I wouldn't have to carve up a factory stereo location.

    Rough country trash?

6 inch RC on my 88 suburban but I think it rides just fine. Front end has duals and it feels a bit stiff but I always know my tires are planted. And there's always been something about being able to look out over that square flat Hood on an old school Chevy with a stiff lift and have no lean in...

    LMC should be proud

If I never ordered from a place and want to give them an opportunity I'll order something at a very low cost just to see what I'm getting. I did the same thing with LMC, I ordered two outer window seals which were pretty cheap. What I received, not even close..... Needless to say won't be going...

    Oil filter cooler adapter question

It looks like there's three different type of bolts for their respective adapters through 87 to 98 it appears after yank them and see what size the bolts are thanks for the responses. I was just hoping there was a one-size-fits-all for this application I should have known better.

    Oil filter cooler adapter question

I have this oil filter cooler on my truck and believe it has a small leak. My question is this the correct gaskets for it and are there torque specs for the two bolts that mount it or just make them snug.

Does anyone know what this is

I replaced this oil pressure sensor as well as cleaned and reinstalled the two other fittings. I use to use teflon tape but decided to go with permatex 56521 thread sealant instead. It mentions that it cures in 24hrs at 72 degrees. It's 40 degrees here where I live today and was curious if...

Does anyone know what this is

Why would two locations be used at the same time? If that's what you mean by "Or even both locations". Doesn't make much sense..

Does anyone know what this is

Does anyone know what this is and do they have a tendency to leak oil? It's a Chevy 350 TBI engine. Never had a Chevy engine that didn't leak oil, this one's pretty tight but it seems to have a slight drip from this part.

Thoughts on going to a 4spd overdrive?

My 88 suburban came with a 700R4 that has a shift kit. To be honest I wish it still had the turbo 400 in it especially with a 6-in lift and 35-in tires. Even though the transmission doesn't have a whole lot of miles on it I know I'll be able to at least use it for a couple of years if not...

    Tracking device for square bodies?

Apologies if this is already been covered but I couldn't find any material on it. Is there a real time tracking device that works with square body Chevys? If so can somebody post a link. Not really a fan of car alarms and cut off switches don't really work when vehicles are being towed.

Quick question about the IAC valve

Turns out the IAC that was in it was an AC Delco. Wasn't gummed up or anything actually look pretty clean. Just went bad I guess! The throttle body was rebuilt not too long ago but either way I'm glad it's happy.

Quick question about the IAC valve

And please correct me if I'm wrong but the spintle shouldn't be any further out than 26 mm?

Quick question about the IAC valve

I had a constant high idle and had to replace the coolant temperature sensor. After doing so the idle has gone back down to factory setting and the problem was fixed and it ran perfect. About a week and a half later I noticed the idle started surging and going up and down. I also replaced all...

Quick question about the IAC valve

Quick question about the IAC valve

So I've read about relearning for the IAC. If someone with this experience could help. I just need to know about order of things I'm a little unsure. If I'm correct I believe I replace IAC then reset the idle and then afterwards relearn the throttle body in this order? I apologize for my...

Quick question about the IAC valve

I'm going to replace my IAC valve with an AC Delco is there anything I need to know when putting in the new one other than resetting the IAC for during normal procedures?

    Fluctuating idle symptoms

I just did a reset on the idle for the IAC and it continued to fluctuate. So then I decided to start it up and keep the RPMs up until it got warm then ran and unplugged the IAC and an idle just fine as soon as I plugged the IAC back in it started to fluctuate almost to the point to where it...
