    bed bolt kits

Maybe that's why I think they are pricey, usually when I'm having to buy from them it's nearly always stainless. And I guess good stanless is damn expensive. lol

    bed bolt kits

I figured that was the case. Where I'm at, sometimes it's go Fastenal, or mail order it and wait a week, or drive 75 miles one way to get to OKC. You can get nearly anything local, except the stainless stuff, so I rarely use them. It is nice having access to Fastenal though.

    bed bolt kits

Fastenal does seem to be good quality, but I always thought it was pretty damn pricey.

    Ball joint ?

I looked at some pics of the AC parts and it looked like their boots had snap rings to hold them on. I have still to decide which way I'm going, but it may end up waiting till warmer weather anyhow. Thanks for the report on the parts, I'll do the same once I do mine.

    Help me decide on carpet

I actually ended up going with vinyl flooring that was made by ACC. It ended up pretty good, but I had to spend hours with a heat gun, and lots of trimming, and still didn't get it as good as I would have liked. Pre formed my ass! I have used carpet in the past and it always fit much better...

    The swap started today.....

I think that is a very good cam choice for a daily. I'd take the heads to a shop and have them set them up for that cam, but I don't have the tools or the knowledge to do head work. And that cam is going to require you to have the computer tuned, so you need to have that done also. Should...

    reupholstered benches

You're going to have to enlighten me on your thing with "consoles"......... @Honky Kong jr I've seen several posts referring to them and I'm out of the loop.

    reupholstered benches

I had mine done back in June. They fixed a few broken springs, repaired some foam and firmed it up a lot per my request, and then made the seat covers and put them on. I dropped them in the morning and picked them up the next morning. $475 per bench. And I love them! Front Seat Back Seat

Ball Joints/Tie Rod Ends What Brand????

I bet those are for the 4x4 trucks though. Don't know if that makes a difference. Those look to be high quality. I'll have to do some digging.......

Ball Joints/Tie Rod Ends What Brand????

I've been doing a TON of research on all these parts, and it appears just about all the higher end parts are coming from Taiwan. Mevotech, some of the MOOG, and I think the Rare Parts are being made there.

    Picking a cam/rebuild advice for 350 in 84 c1500

As for the 700r4, yes in stock form they are a bit weak. You can have them built to handle a fairly hot small block for reasonable. A decade ago I had an '87 K5 with a warmed over small block, prob 350 to 375 horse. I had the awesome tranny shop here work it over and it was awesome. Drove it...

Rare Parts is more than double the cost of Mevotech though!!! :banghead:

Ball Joints/Tie Rod Ends What Brand????

I'm leaning towards Rare Parts. Reviews of Mevotech are so so, but Rare Parts seems to have mostly great reviews. Feedback locally seems to like both. Off Road Design only deals in 4x4 goods, so they are of no help to me on this project.

    Need some recommendations

That will only get you junk, like pyle. On that budget you will have to shop used. Audio equipment you get what you pay for has always been my experience.
