S-10 2.8 TBI runs rough midway through warmup

I replaced all the vacum lines today and was staring at the injectors when I noticed fuel leaking from a gasket into the venturi (maybe metering block) not sure if a TBI has one? but thats kinda what it looks like to me, I tightened the torx screws a few turns, ( I circled 2 out of them of them...

S-10 2.8 TBI runs rough midway through warmup

i tested the TPS first as I had a hunch it was the reason for the motor getting richened up, it tested fine with a clean increase in voltage as the throttle plate opened, and clean decrease as it closed. im wondering if the coolant temp sensor might be the culprit, I have 2 old ones and I think...

S-10 2.8 TBI runs rough midway through warmup

quick update, started it up today and let it run for a while, it was alot better but not quite right, it seemed to hold high idle smoother and the transition to lower idle speed took longer, it wasnt so abrupt, the idle slowly dropped over a few minutes, before it just dropped right off and got...

S-10 2.8 TBI runs rough midway through warmup

I have an update, I took a look at all of the connectors and found all of them full of crud, especiall the temp sender on the intake, I cleaned them out with a shot of carb cleaner and some air, it runs better warmed up now so I will let it sit until tomorrow AM and see if it can make a clean...

S-10 2.8 TBI runs rough midway through warmup

not a fullsize square body truck, its a compact version. 1989 S10 2.8 liter V-6 TBI w/5speed trans when cold starting it cranks for about 2 seconds than fires up on the high idle (RPM'S unknown) where it stays for approx 1 minute, runs nice and smooth, as it starts to return to normal idle it...

LS Swap P0171 Code Bank 1 too lean HELP

i cant speak from experience, I read a couple write ups and it seems MAF sensor is a common cause, in your other post you metioned using a tuner, did you have someone tune it? Im only asking because when I had my truck tuned the tuner mentioned rookie half ass tuners like to manipulate MAF...

good fuel pressure? fresh fuel? MAF clean, and honeycomb intack? how far away from throttle body is it? it seems that code is tripped from upstream o2 detecting to much air.

    6.7 Cummins Suburban Build

the front 60's are definatley getting harder to find, they pop up on Craigslist ocassionally for $2k, I had to drive 600 miles round trip to buy one for $1600 a few years ago, the dodge 12 valve trucks have them as well, just have to cut and re weld the spring pads to fit the chevy, the chevy...

    6.7 Cummins Suburban Build

First and foremost badass build you put together!!. Dana 60 front diffs came in k30's either dual rear wheel or single rear wheel trucks, the duallys have a different spacing on the rear perch pads, not sure about the front spacing. the front diff from a dually has a wider wheel hub that makes...

    Deleting emissions,read this article.

I would be willing to bet that turning a set of junkyard tires into a global warming stopping sun blocking smoke cloud is probably better for the enviroment than purchasing a set of newly manufactured tires. I'm no engineer and I havent stayed in a motel 6 for many years but hear me out. I...
