    Bad Proportioning Valve?

In the second pic it appears that you’re using a pick but just pushing on the switch itself, that’s not a plastic plug it’s the switch for the brake failure light. That switch has to come out to use the centering tool, and the tool should be inserted before attempting to bleed the brakes.

    np203 shifter

What’s wrong with it? I took one apart recently it’s a fairly complex assortment of plates and a hefty spring and it’s basically indestructible in my opinion. Nothing really to replace.

    K 20 Body mounts 73-80 Truck

Mounts are different between C10/20 and K10/20 pickups, Ks are larger. I’d assume it was the same for the Blazer. I was looking also, they are on back order most places but did find them at CJ Pony, they have truck parts.

    700R4 Trans Cooling Lines options/recommendations?

The hard lines from Inline Tube is what I used, they fit well. But I am working on just a frame no cab installed yet.

    3 on the tree

Why?? Now if it was back to completely original restoration, of course.. but you’ve already changed the engine… so do the transmission also. We also used a truck three speed in oval track cars, just using high gear.

Regearing Advice... What do I need?

Yukon Gear, East Coast Gear Supply, USA Standard Gear, Summit, etc.. they all have bearing/seal & gear sets. Be sure to identify the current differentials in each before ordering.

    Headliner what to do

My ‘78 is a Scottsdale and didn’t have a headliner or trim originally but after watching the LMC vid I’ll certainly think about adding it, looks good.

    looking for an ac bracket

oops, sorry Dingo, I wasn’t paying attention there. The OP doesn’t have a bracket at all, and he needs one like yours. That’s a hefty piece, I can’t say I’ve ever seen one before.

New to pickups & fifth wheels

As I posted before, do some research, decide what kind of RV will fit your needs, there’s travel trailers, fifth wheels, motor homes in Class A, B, & C…. they all have their pros & cons. They all are rolling earth quakes, you’re going to have to do maintenance and repairs. You might want to...

I don’t agree on the school bus conversion. I’ve seen a couple, and know a guy that started one about a dozen years ago, it’s behind his garage. When it’s stripped out it’s a long narrow steel tube full of windows with zero insulation. Installing plumbing/ holding tanks, electric etc isn’t...

Best way to run power from truck battery to trailer winch. Quick disconnect ends.

I don’t know if this applies to where you keep your trailer but sometime in the near future I’ll be in the process of rigging up some kind of solar charger for my bosses dozer that sits outside…

    4 x 4 light flickering when engaged.

It’s most likely a “ball detent” type of switch, it’s screwed into the case. The shift lever part inside the case actuates the switch when in position. Check the shift linkage at the TC, it may be sloppy there or you just need a new switch.

Best way to run power from truck battery to trailer winch. Quick disconnect ends.

This is the way to do it. They have two different dump bed trailers where I work, the dump beds are hydraulic pump powered. There is a big group 31 deep cycle battery and small battery charger/tender mounted along side the hydraulic pump. It’s a very nice setup, it isn’t home made. You just...

    AM/FM Radio

I used to do repairs on those radios & cassette decks way back when.. finding matching capacitors can be very difficult now though. My eyes aren’t what they were then though. I still do occasional repairs for friends on some late 70s early 80s home receivers and guitar amps, but only a few brands.

    Cardboard utility box upgrade.

I like it, especially the corner pieces for speaker placement. I’ll probably fab some like those in the future for my cab. I’ll probably use aluminum or stainless though. I work part time at a metal fab shop and can use their equipment.

New to pickups & fifth wheels

A large percentage of the RV world, the folks that camp remotely, has embraced the lithium battery. There’s tons of info online about installation, solar, inverters, generators, etc… but it’s very, very, expensive compared to standard lead acid batteries…

I’ve got a teenager that lives next door, he’s a great young man. He recently did his headliner in “Cow Print”…. I had no idea at first what he was talking about but after seeing it I like it.

New to pickups & fifth wheels

Anything can be accomplished if enough time and money are spent towards it.. Do a lot of research and find the RV that fits your needs first, it’s a buyers market right now, there’s a glut of used ones that were bought during Covid. Then decide how much power you’ll need in a pickup. I’m no...
