    Windshield antenna

You can get the cable lead-in (36-2125) and windshield lead-in (36-2122) from LMC. Looks like two separate part numbers and should plug right in. I have the antenna in the windshield w/stock AM/FM receiver and the reception sucks. LMC also sells an amplified hide-away antenna that can be...

What have you done to your square lately??

That Ford wagon on the hoist looks very cool too.

    Battery post corrosion

Agree on needing new cables. I used to maintain 3000A backup battery strings and the only thing we ever used was NO-OX-ID to prevent corrosion. Some really good stuff and all I use now.

    77 fresh air duct

My Sub has the taller air filter cover already. When I replaced the air filter it was friggin' massive. After looking at it some more I may try and add a second air horn and hose to the air filter base out the drivers side to take advantage of the air duct built into that side of the radiator...

    77 fresh air duct

I gotta tell you. I always thought that an aftermarket chrome plated open element air filter from K&N was about the perfect "topping on the cake" you could put on an engine. Functionally and aesthetically. Over the last couple of decades the cold air intakes have proven to be more functional...

Happy new year I am Seabass

Wecome Sebastian. My personal advice is to grab one or three of your favorite adult beverages and start reading. The amount of information available in this forum already is simply amazing. Peruse all the topics and anything even remotely interesting to you start to read. Post up some pics of...

Differential Fluid on Underside of Blazer

    OMFG that's really nasty.

Differential Fluid on Underside of Blazer

Or the rear end somehow went underwater and filled up. Heard of it happening before but never actually seen it.

    Front door hinge spring replacement

OMG, definitely a big shout out to both of you. Never would've imagined being able to do this without you guys insisting it can happen. Thanks again.

KEWL!?!?! Glad I could help out somebody for a change....LOL.

    89 R3500 Part Identification Help

That's exactly what it is. I have the same thing on my Sub. I have the factory towing package so I just assumed it was part of that. I'm not sure what else it included but I have the hitch and an oil cooler. I thought it should have a tranny cooler too but mine has what appears to be a standard...

    Front door hinge spring replacement

Probably the same reason I still have a hotmail account and a carb sitting on top of my engine.....LOL. I hate EFI and back up cameras and figure if you need a car that can parallel park or brake by itself you shouldn't be driving.

    Front door hinge spring replacement

Success guys!!!! I ended up using a combination of different suggestions. I first tried to get the spring in like Shiftpro and Idahovette suggested without removing anything. That didn't go so well. I had the spring hooked into the bottom of the hinge and was pushing it up and then tried to...

    Front door hinge spring replacement

Thanks for the feedback gents. I did already look at several you tube vids on changing the spring which included the pins and bushings but all of them had the fender off already. Ill have to search again about actually removing the hinge. I did see where the one bolt is accessed from inside too...

    Front door hinge spring replacement

The hinge spring on the drivers door of my 86 Sub is busted and needs replacement. I never realized what a PIA it is to not have the door stay open before. I've been scowering the threads, wiring diagrams and component locator views to get a game plan in place. I was originally thinking that I...

    Identify intake

Performance wise I would guess it falls someplace in between a factory cast iron manifold and a Performer (or similar). Its not as tall as a Performer and still utilizes EGR functionality. On a bone stock engine I'm not sure if you notice much of anything other than weight savings. Definitely...

    Identify intake

I can read the cast numbers clearly when enlarging the pic. My last post is the right P/N with the link to Chevy Performance.

    Identify intake

That's a steal for $25. Definitely needs a cleaning but should be a decent manifold. Check this out. https://www.chevrolet.com/performance/engine-components/small-block/intake-manifolds-and-components

    86 C1500 Sub headers

Thanks for that suggestion. I'd have never thought of that until they loosened up. I'll be taking care of that this weekend.

    86 C1500 Sub headers

Wasn't sure where to post this seeing as I've found header threads all over the place. It's a bone stock 350 that I'm wanting to up the ante a little bit with. I've read all the threads and magazine articles about headers not fitting, having terrible craftsmanship and finishes that were far...

    Factory sway bar?

Belltech 5404 is a bolt in direct replacement aftermarket unit. Supposedly requires a Belltech 5704 adapter kit if you don't have a factory sway bar. Gets outstanding reviews at Summit.

It's a great day, no more POS Sniper!

Agreed. Holleys are fantastic carbs. Not sure if any of you have tried one yet but Quick Fuel carbs are basic Holley design with added standard goodies that make for an even better carb IMHO. Billet throttle bodies and metering blocks/plates, external adjustable floats and vacuum secondaries...

    Marine Vortec Heads

Shouldn't be as far as ports, fit, finish, etc. A true marine head should have brass core plugs which certainly won't hurt.

    Retractable Running boards ?

Been wondering the same. I need to put something on but really torn what to do. Back in the day my 88 Sub I put lighted running boards on which were great functionally but not so much aesthetically. Now on my 86 I want function and looks but the choices are very limited for these old squares.

    700R4 and Correct Gearing

I'm certainly no tranny expert. Just trying to make heads or tails of this. You don't know if it had some aftermarket shift kit installed do you? That truck is f*****g bad ass by the way!!!!
