    I know anything to do with paint isn't cheap. If I can get away with being under $300 doing frame and axle I'd be happy. Haven't looked into what it would take to lift the cab to get to the top surfaces of the frame to prep and paint them under the cab.

    Since I'm out sick with a man cold I picked up fresh oil and filter while in in town, along with valve cover gaskets. Going to change the oil before I crank it again. Figured the 8 year old valvoline VR1 50W behind the seat might have gone past its shelf life also.

    Problem solved. Went to take the bolt off holding the wire to the shroud and it was super loose. Just by moving it I found ground every where. Just got to get a new bolt and nut since the nut is rounded off.
