    Shock Extenders for 4" Drop?

Hey, I have been shopping around for a drop kit for my truck and was thinking about the 2.5/4 kit from Western Chassis. Spindles and hanger/shackle. I was curious about the rear shocks though. I have read you can use the stock shocks on a flip kit rear with extenders in place but should the...

SBC 350 with new cam will not start, only pops a couple times then nothing.

I read this and cringed. If you installed a flat tappet cam all that cranking couldn't have been good for it. Follow the break in procedure if you can. I had a cam in my garage that looked like a broomstick except for a couple lobes that survived as a reminder to break them in right. Less than...

    Leaf Spring Bushings

Any reason to go Energy Suspension over Prothane? Looks the same but the Prothanes are a bit cheaper. This is what I found on Jegs. http://www.jegs.com/i/Prothane/311/7-1001-BL/10002/-1?ymm=4294829822+4294829791+4294829790 3 of these...

    Leaf Spring Bushings

In my endless search for how to fix my truck I have run upon a situation that I would like some opinions on. I initially planned to replace all my old worn out rubber bushings with new poly ones from the energy master kit. I have since thought maybe this isn't the right plan and here is why. I...

    Patch panel welding

I use a Hobart handler 140. It does the job but I am no pro. I can tell it's much better than a flux core welder though.

That is a pretty good write up. If we are missing pictures though it may get even better once those are fixed!

Yeah one of mine has the glass broken in it. With how poorly the doors close, once you slam the door you can't see anything out of them either. You can see more with them though. I had a 78 k10 that had the little ones, they looked nice but you don't see much behind you.

Not sure if I will use them or switch to the smaller ones. I like the tow mirrors on my duramax so the extra real estate is nice and keeping them saves me from filling holes in the door. I also think they look kinda goofy on there though. I will keep you in mind though.

Anyway, I started a build thread http://www.gmsquarebody.com/threads/my-78-silverado.20762/ If you would like to hear the long winded tale of where it is now and how it got there. :) It may take some time to write but hopefully you will find it enjoyable.
