What have you done to your square lately??
Got the radiator and fan shroud mounted and hoses hooked up. Changed out the negative battery cable for a longer one that had several branches that gave me connections for the engine, frame and chassis grounds. Dropped in a cold air intake and modified the shroud for it to make it fit a bit... -
fuel tank swap from newer silverado to 81 C10?
Like was said there are lots of options for bare tanks for less than $200 and they are new. I think mine was $160.- Drauka99

New Process A833 4speed w/ OD MY6 MM7
the knob "casing" itself is cracked off and the button is split in half (with the OD portion gone) I'll probably just replace it with a new knob with the correct 1-4 pattern and give up the OD for 4th. Thanks for the info.- Drauka99

NV4500 swap behind a 5.3 LS
with this behind the 5.3, how much cutting on the tans hump are you going to need to do. How does the shifter line up. Im trying to plan out transmission for the future in my truck, Was originally going T56 but its expensive.- Drauka99

fuel tank swap from newer silverado to 81 C10?
I doubt it will fit. 87 C-10 fuel tank for the LS swap. Get an 87 sending unit to keep the fuel gauge, will need to step up to a larger fuel pump than the 87 used for the LS. I've pulled my fair share of fuel tanks over the years and the C-10 fuel tank bracketry is different from any I have...- Drauka99

What new tools have you got lately?
With the engine swap I broke down and picked up a 2 ton engine hoist from a older lady who had it on the side of the road (needed a new hydraulic cylinder, still was half the price of a 1 ton after adding the cost of the cylinder) And finally grabbed a small 110 flux core MIG welder for the... -

Doesn’t look like much to the in-initiated but I got the power steering hoses hooked up from the LS to the C10 steering box. Started installing some shorty headers and found out after doing one side that they lined up directly with the manual clutch linkage. Had to start over with the stock... -

Lets see, got the battery tray relocated to the driver's side. Mounted the lower radiator support from the donor vehicle, got the mechanical fan, shroud and radiator mocked up in place to make mounting brackets for the top side. Also got the overflow tank mounted in place. The stock LS... -

Over the weekend I got the firewall upper seam resealed. The engine bay cleaned, coated with rust killer, cleaned again, painted with multiple coats of rust encapsulating paint. Got the 87 fuel tank painted, the stock brackets painted as well. the LS fuel pump (Wallbro 350) added to the tank... -
No spark need help
looks like you are pointing to the junction box on the firewall. Its a good place to pull 12 volts constant. only thing usually there is a jumper for the ac/heater blower fan. If memory serves its 12 volts constant, not keyed at all My 81 HEI had a 4 pin connector that went to the...- Drauka99

If doing DBW then the 95-2000 Silverado 6.5 diesel, you will need to switch some pins around or buy a reworked pedal to tac harness (will need to know which model TAC module you have as well).
