    Windshield wiper/washer issues

So I went and checked all the grounds and wiring according to Snoots post and all seem good. But this problem is still there intermittently so I'm guessing its going to be the module. Guess I'll order one and see if it totally fixes the problem. If not then I'm thinking maybe the washer pump...

    Windshield wiper/washer issues

Hey guys, Trying to figure out a little washer/wiper issue. So I have a 84 GMC with pulse wipers and washer. The wipers seem to work fine until I try to use the washer. When I press the squirt lever the pump just clicks and then the wipers stop working. Then the wiper will not start working...

    Power windows slow

Hey guys so I rebuilt both my doors with all new weather stripping and window channel runners, new window regulators w/motors and a relay setup that is supposed to put more power to the motors to deal with the problem of slow windows. But the windows are still very slow and stick in some...

    Oil in intake runners

Used straight edge to check the head surfaces and as far as I could tell it all looked flat. No signs of oil leakage past the gaskets that I could tell or in the pcv hose. The intake was an old cast iron intake from a stock engine. There was definitely oil in the intake runners on the of the...

    Oil in intake runners

So this is my first rebuilt engine. I had the shop rebuild it to a long block then I put all the other parts back on. Not sure how it ran prior to rebuild as I pulled it and had it rebuilt before ever running it. The intake seemed to be a stock one but cant say for sure it if was the one that...

    Oil in intake runners

Hi all, Been having an issue with a freshly rebuilt sbc 350 smoking. Thought it might be that the rings have just not seated as it doesn't have many miles on it yet but it was just smoking too much for me to believe that. So I talked to the shop that rebuilt the engine and they believed it...

    Rear Diff Pinion Shaft

After a little further investigation and calling the GMC dealership I have found that the part number is 14012700 and these can be had very easily with a search on the interwebs. They are called both "pinion cross shaft" and just "pinion shaft". Just in case someone else has the need for one.

    Rear Diff Pinion Shaft

Thanks guys, Yes it's the shaft in the center of the diff carrier. Not the pinion input shaft with the gear. I looked it up on a parts diagram and that is what they called it "pinion shaft". Anyway I will check with Advance Auto to see if they can locate me one. Thanks again everyone for...

    Rear Diff Pinion Shaft

Can anyone tell me where I might be able to acquire a pinion shaft? I've searched the interwebs but it only seems to come with a carrier or gear set. I really don't need a carrier or anything else just the pinion shaft that goes into the center of the carrier. Any advice would be appreciated.

    All my lights went out

Hey guys just wanted to give an update. I installed the JCase fuses and they have been working great! One did blow but that was because shorted the positive to ground by accident so the fuse did its job. Great this is that they are super easy to replace, just pop the bad one out and put the...

    84 Headlight buzzer install

Hey all, I have a 84 that I want to add a headlight buzzer reminder onto. I've searched the forum and found some advice but my truck doesn't have the courtesy block down by the gas pedal. There is a relay or 2 down there but I can't tell what it's for. I picked up the buzzer from LMC but the...

    All my lights went out

So after much research this is what I have come up with. They do make a "Slow Blow" fuse in a Jcase style. They sell the holders in a couple styles but I think the inline will work for my application. I have determined that the wire size for the circuits I want to replace Fusible links in are...

    All my lights went out

Sorry I mistyped that. I meant to say Mega Fuse, not Maxi Fuse

    All my lights went out

Did you use a blade fuse or a maxi fuse? My understanding is that a blade fuse will not work but a maxi fuse will.

    All my lights went out

So I was wanting to replace the fusible links with a maxi fuse. How would I figure out what fuse size I would need? Also seeing as how there are multiple fusible links would I need multiple maxi fuses?? Or could I combine some or all of them into one or two? 84 3/4T V8

    Vortec heads- cold weather issues?

Hi guys, New to the forum and was just browsing when I read this thread. I did a little research and found a possible solution that might work better as it appears you can turn it on and off whenever you like. I know nothing about cold weather problems as I live in the south. Take a look and...
