That one is in Madras. Different world up there. Ranch country. Maybe lost title. I dont see any plates. 95+-% of people from Bend aren't from Bend. The town has grown so fast It's taken on a Dr. Jekyl- Mr Hyde thing. Many people here refer to it as Poverty with a View. Wages are pretty low...

Magnesium chloride, whatever that is. Supposedly more ecologically friendly, Oregon go figure. Pits the heck out of paint . They use it here but it usually just leaves the roads wet at night and then black ice develops. Fun. Studded snow tires work best here. Yeah that doesn't happen here...

Greetings and seeking advice from San Diego!

I'd take out the seat and whatever flooring it has and get a good assessment of how far the rust has gotten. I don't think that cab is not worth saving. Hopefully you can find a front end wrecked or motor blown truck and swap out the front clip, doors, hood, interior and whatever else isn't shot...

Questions about '74 All Time 4wd, HELP

Copy and pasted from snowplowforums.com: The NP203 is a full time case, which always turns the front driveshaft. Most didn't even have hubs as they were not needed. It does have an internal differential system. It works the same as an open rearend and splits the power between the front and...

    Block Heater install, Removing Plug?

No worries on the ratsun thing. Somewhere I saw sir robin as a major contributor. Just wanted to acknowledge. I'm backshelving the block heater thing for now. Knocking out a factory sealed freeze plug just sounds like the wrong thing to do. After plowing snow I've got to figure out what's next...

    Block Heater install, Removing Plug?

Thanks for all the replies. After researching my options I came to the decision of using an inline heater versus trying to get out a freeze plug would be best. If the plug went into the engine block I'd be screwed. I have room enough in the garage to get the truck in overnight if it gets into...

    Block Heater install, Removing Plug?

After reading the block heaters instructions it says to install it in the drivers side rear freezeplug hole. I just don't see how I can get that plug out without risking knocking it into the engine block and really screwing myself. Also it just doesn't get cold enough here long enough to try...

    Block Heater install, Removing Plug?

Thanks for the reply, yeah it looks like a PIA. Can't get a straight run at it. Guess I'll just have to muscle it out. It's getting cold here in central Oregon and the truck takes up alot of space in the garage with the snowplow on. Pics to come. Learned alot from you on Ratsun.net.Thanks
